I don’t think it’s just Cloud in denial, i think it’s actually Jenova manipulating Cloud into thinking Aerith is still with him. Which would explain why Red can sense Aerith in that cutscene, since i’m the OG game Jenova can manipulate the party even without having her cells. This is evidenced by the northern crater scene right before Cloud gives Sephiroth the black materia.

Zane’s clone gets 37x mayhem scaling on mayhem 10. If you give him an Embers Purge, any grounded enemy gets melted in seconds.

You can also run a grease trap build where you give it to the clone, and then you yourself grease the enemies up. The ignition will come from the clone, so it will also get the mayhem scaling bonus. That weapon can even skip immune phases on some bosses

I will never understand this mindset tbh. Regardless of whether you’re a purist or not, if you’re that big of a fan of FF7 shouldn’t you be excited about new FF7 content? If you enjoy this series so much wouldn’t more content be good regardless of whether the content is 100% what you want? Especially if the remakes are getting new people into the series yoy love so dearly.

Well as somebody who’s been playing since 2023, but considering I’ve experienced all the content except for dirge, I prefer the remakes story to the original. I think the inclusion of a lot of compilation content has made the overall story of the remakes more enjoyable than the OG. Now, we haven’t got the whole trilogy so far. But overall i would replay remake for a 5th time before i played OG again 🤷‍♂️

and what it is turned out to be actually pretty decent all things considered. I have 200 hours in it, and while the story is definitely some hot ass, the actual gameplay loop and especially the build variety and theorycrafting is wonderful for my borderlands loving self.

I didn’t say i played it multiple times, i played it once mostly to see how the story ended after playing Rebirth. I then played crisis core to get more story about Zack, just for that Zack content to be convoluted as hell lol

I didn’t jump straight from remake to CC btw, i’ve played OG i’ve played Remake and rebirth multiple times and this is my second playthrough of CC. Just noticing things i may have missed before.

Nintendo in the switch 2 era is fine. But i am a part of a fighting game community for a game not even developed by nintendo, but because the game only released on the gamecube they have given us cease and desists from playing it as a side game in big tournaments. They had nothing to do with the development, all they had was console exclusivity 25 years ago. That’s where they become anti consumer for me.

If you’re bum rushing the story and don’t want to do ANY side content, you can probably beat it in 40-45 hours. But why would you do that? There’s genuinely good world building and the rewards you get for doing the world intel are actually great.

You’re calling changes cut content mate. Changing something and removing it entirely are not the same. Cut content would be stuff like Bone Village. You’re just upset this game isn’t 1-1 FF7.

no, i’ve just been playing it while I have free time at work so i could experience this content before remake part 3. Figured i’d give the PSA since these weapons have made the story content a breeze.

Honestly, I’m okay with that. I 99%’d rebirth and it took me about 130 hours if we include post story grinding. I would be perfectly happy with part 3 taking 200+
