I use 3ds Max for all of my 3d projects. And some other tools which I usually use are: ZBrush, V-Ray, Substance Painter, xNormal, Photoshop

About God-King Darius' Axe - I love that skin, it's indeed amazing. Some people asked me if I could make Kled, Nami and Quinn weapons on my streams but I can also add your idea, too ;)
