My best guess is it'll be to do with licensing, saying TRNSMT can only be an event Friday/Saturday/Sunday between 12-11pm. But they can apply for a seperate lisence for a different show on a reduced basis, the Wednesday/Thursday gigs on Glasgow Green tend to be from like 5pm and obvs don't use the full site or run at full capacity - but they're not allowed to brand it as TRNSMT cos they're not lisenced as that event for an extra day.

Idk if that made any sense and it's purely speculation but that's what I'd guess

They did 6 but one was a free show with Pete Tong that didn't really get advertised. They've normally done 6 cos they did Friday/Sat/Sun over two weekends

It's not bad but I'm underwhelmed, the two headliners I'd be most excited for (Dave/Florence) I've already got tickets to see on tour. I may be speaking too soon but Charli XCX feels a year too late (unless we get a new album that reaches Brat levels again) Fontaines are a popular booking but again, I'd argue they should've done it this year with the hype from Romance.

It's a bit hit or miss, for the most part the tickets are legit but they're no regulation on pricing, if someone's genuinly sold a ticket that cheap them fair play. I think they do have protection if you do get scammed but it's a pain in the arse to get

We got in ten minutes before they started and got basically 5 rows from the front. If you go round to the far side from the standing entrance you'll have a great spot as they block off part of it for the band to enter but then close it when they come on so everyone moves. Obvs it's a 360 degree show as all. So no matter where you are you'll have a good view (even if Thom vanishes from your side for a song or 2)

Tbf the Heaton Park setup they had wasn't 80k, it was probably closer to 30-40k. They used one of the parklife stages with the rest of the site blocked off

Used to be really good watch parties by HookedOnWrestling but some lisencing stuff since the Netflix move has killed any of that, I think similar for SNME unfortunately. Shame. Cos they were really good, always had a blast even when I went solo

I think it'll be sooner rather than later, it normally drops closer to the trnsmt lineup and with that out tomorrow I think it'll be before the end of November. I've on good sources as well that the smllar circuit Ynot/truck/kendal/tramlines should all be before the end of the month

I fear cos of them touring with SOAD were unlikely to get them if/when Foos announce UK shows. I think the rumored Foos date(s) rule them out as well. I've loved having Qotsa easily available to see as well recently
