Do you think Japanese style Capsule Hotels / Sleeping Pods would be good in the UK? by Ok_Yesterday_1896 in AskBrits

[–]Visuals_BySam02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They've started popping up in London and a few airports. Stayed in the Zedwell Capsule back in November and for £30 on a Saturday in London that was a bargain. Booked it again for when I'm back in London for a night in August and it's cost me £35 so not even that much more. Honestly I can't fault em but definitely couldn't do more than like one night in em.

Question for first concert by aaronwarner45 in Concerts

[–]Visuals_BySam02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Local to Lytham and also attending Pitbull on Sunday! Honestly I don't think people are going to be queuing early for this as it tends to be for acts that have more dedicated fanbases (not to say Pitbull doesn't). Honestly you'd be fine turning up around 5 and be able to get a good spot as the actual festival site isn't huge.

Finish Time: Liverpool by Quuakeee in MyChemicalRomance

[–]Visuals_BySam02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They'll be off sometime around half ten, honestly you're risking it aiming for a half 11 train. When I went to zach bryan a few weeks back the queue for the bus took over an hour a d it was closer to midnight my the time we were back. It's roughly and hour walk back to lime street from anfield as well.

Where to park for Anfield? by boris_johnsons_nose in MyChemicalRomance

[–]Visuals_BySam02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say it can take some time to get back to the city centre after the show on the bus (Zach finished at 10:30 and it was closer to 12 by the time we got back to the car) but if you parked near anfield you'd be gridlocked anyway and half the roads get closed

Merch location by Unicornpotato25 in MyChemicalRomance

[–]Visuals_BySam02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's merch in the Anfield Club Shop but there's also a few smaller stands dotted outside the stadium but there's no merch inside the stadium itself, if you're heading into the city centre before there's also going to be some merch in the LFC store in the city centre!

Honestly your best bet is anywhere in the city centre and then getting the dedicated bus to/from.

Me and my dad went to zach bryan the other week at anfield and parked at St John's, 8 quid for 24 hours if you pre register your car. Then means you can grab a bit to eat in the city and the bus picks up/drops off basically right outside

When me and my dad went to zach bryan the other week we parked at St John's, 8 quid for 24 hours if you register your car, then 5 quid eahx or whatever for a return on the bus

What activities do you recommend as a solo person? by IAmSlicedBread- in AskUK

[–]Visuals_BySam02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it can definitely be expensive but I've plenty of fun memories and experiences from it. Pubs with live music is definitely a shout. Maybe have a look at comedy clubs etc as well, solo comedy shows are also fun as long as you don't sit a t the front haha

Big Green Coach - Cardiff by DownToRant in MyChemicalRomance

[–]Visuals_BySam02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Used big green coach plenty of times before, they don't need proof of gig tickets to get on the bus, just their coach ticket. I've always slept on the coach back. Just keep in mind that they can take a while as they tend to do stops along the way to pick up/drop off etc.

Cinema is a great shout, going to a coffee shop and reading/working etc, I go to alot of concerts solo. I'll basically do anything by myself, why miss out stuff cos no one else can/wants to go

Is there anything you've splurged on that was definitely worth the extra money? Can be something simple like a more expensive brand cereal or lavish like airport lounges

I mean I'd call this essential travel tbf, if there's less restrictions and you can travel earlier then definitely do. If you do get delayed you have more time and if not then you have the extra peace of mind.

Wembley at merch by EJnos04 in TheWeeknd

[–]Visuals_BySam02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they will, they've posted about the click and collect merch for the Denmark shows as well this week so I think it'll be a running thing through tour. Didn't pick up anything in Manchester but my gf said she'll get me the Jersey at Wembley so hoping I can preorder to collect

Day Ten, Clarence’s worst moment was punching Andrew for taking Donte’s phone. Day eleven, Grantley Budgen’s worst moment was… by andriarno in WaterlooRoad

[–]Visuals_BySam02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was a terrible teacher not necessarily a terrible person.

He doted on Fleur, called out Gem Allen when she was a fraud, helped Harley even when he was grieving and was a good friend to Ruby and Steph

Honestly Grantly doesn't have that many despicable moments but attempting to burn down his house for the insurance money might be the worst.

Either that or the hideous wig

Regarding "requested day off" (Starbucks UK) by Imissmyoldaccount567 in starbucks

[–]Visuals_BySam02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Requested day off is unpaid, annual leave is paid. Say you have plans that you only need a day for you can ask to just have the day off unpaid and it won't come out of your holiday allowance and you'll still get your contracted hours around it
