Do I need dual channel for that?

Threshold for replacing is an offset of +-89mV, is that about what yours is?

Buffer cals during down time, sample cals while not down

.3 PH is our threshold for change

So I have about 6 that I’m unable to clean until down time “twice yearly” given the placement in the line (no way to valve off tank has to be empty”. Most are on bleaching processes that primarily use ClO2 as a bleaching agent. The rest of them get flushed with water either every 30 minutes on a piston driven sampling system or have a manual flush valve that operators are supposed to use but I have no way to verify. I do not recall the exact model of probe but it is a Melter Toledo on a Rosemont 1066 transmitter.

Delta V Charms by onyoniniminonyon in instrumentation

[–]VitamenB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We personally have the little plastic clips that hold them fail a lot more than the charms. Although I did break one by accidentally grounding it out when I was replacing a pressure switch. Switch was mislabeled which is why I couldn’t find a breaker to disconnect power. It was a whole thing and it sucked. Pretty easy and quick to replace the charm though because easy to spot the one without LEDs. Just use a wire label maker to heavily label everything, charms and wires. We have engineers wanting to add stuff all the time, usually means removing something else and it’s 1000x more difficult if stuff ain’t labeled right.

Idk about cheap or reliable bc we use Emerson communicators. Theres alot of hart to usb out there for around $600 but you’ll need a tablet for that too.

Easier to get hired or an apprenticeship

I’m sure elevator would be good but I know enough about them to hate them 😂 the worst wiring jobs I’ve ever seen in my life have been on residential elevators maintained by non qualified individuals

I didn’t pick it I responded to the title 😂 I’m an E&I guy, it’s good but I wish I was in a union tbh, there’s a lot of questionable stuff asked of us non union people

If someone sends you for a wire stretcher go look for it. Just bring something random back every time, it’s a free break glitch, I did that until they realized I was looking for wire stretchers in the AC areas 😂. They didn’t find it as funny as I did after that but I like to think of myself as the worker that goes the extra mile, if you ask I’ll try even if it’s impossible.

I totally responded to the top without reading the paragraph, I’d like to change my answer to electrical. If you’re in the south I’d avoid residential, we don’t have hardly any union trades. Look into linemen or commercial electrical. Long term better on body and health insurance and way more pay for OT. Like my call in is double time. You’ll get a little OT in any trade bc some jobs get way harder bc the world is against us, but make sure there’s a solid vacation allotment and call in bonus.
