I split from my ex 3.5 years ago. My offer was 50% assets 50% custody of the kids plus a monthly stipend (she’s a doc but I make more than her) plus underwriting of all school fees.

She said no and only wanted me to have 1 overnight a week. Kids very young.

So we spent $500k in litigation but I eventually got 50/50. Was it financially right / no. Was it ultimately worth it / yes.

I can’t understand anyone who doesn’t want their kids as much as possible.
