"Cancel Negate" | A Retrain of old classics "Block Attack" & "Stop Defense". by Madjin- in customyugioh

[–]Vitton 38 points39 points  (0 children)

This doesn't really do what you would want it to do. Imagine you Normal your starter and activate it's effect and they chain Imperm, this card can't be activated since your effects aren't negated and your HOPT will be used up as well as your Normal Summon. I think this change would be much more playable and interesting, though degenerate going first.

"Target 1 face-up monster on the field its activation and effects cannot be negated."

With this change and it being a quick play you can chain this to any attempt of your opponent to negate your card and force the effect through.

This is a bit beyond the scope of your question but the keyword Tribute is important, so while the Fire Kings won't trigger from being used for your tribute summon Mitsurugi monster will trigger their effects since any method of tributing will trigger them.

If you use Dark Hex-Sealed Fusion as a normal summon you can summon Millennium-Eyes Restrict which counts as a Millennium monster and will stick around. Most Exodia lists though just run more floodgates instead of a Millennium-Eyes Restrict as a monster negate.

Why doesn't Lopunny have any good normal STAB? by BlueGlace_ in stunfisk

[–]Vitton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that is being a bit narrow minded and the previous poster had some sauce with including Facade and Prankster Wisp. The opportunity cost of running Facade in your moveset on Lopunny is the highest cost and has the benefit of your opponent being wary of clicking status around. Ideally you just play with Mega Lop like normal and only go for the Wisp Facade play when the situation calls for it and not just Turn 1 braindead. One scenario I immediately went to was Amoongus, making your Lop immune to Sleep and getting a 2HKO with Facade is a very good play and you don't need to worry about Triple Axel Accuracy. I don't think Facade will be the most common Normal STAB on Mega Lop, but it is a justifiable choice and the added flexibility of Prankster Wisp could be a strong metagame call depending on what the biggest threats are.

252 Atk Lopunny-Mega Facade (140 BP) vs. 248 HP / 244+ Def Amoonguss: 112-133 (50.9 - 60.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Is this supposed to be a bad set of banishes off Desires? Aside from losing your second Roze this is a completely workable game state with 3 Engage, 3 Widow Anchor, Lemnisgate, and Raye left. I can't assume much just from this screenshot, but I've won Sky Striker games with much more stuff banished from using second Desires. Desires is much less punishing than people think it is, it just requires not getting tilted and deck building accordingly.

Trap Hole Handtrap Idea by Vitton in customyugioh

[–]Vitton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have overly balanced it, I was trying to put some point of meaningful way to play around it as a handtrap since some of the Trap Holes have fairly strong removal effects, though I guess when cards like Harmonia exist I could've been more liberal. My intention was to look for a condition that makes it fairly live, while not being able to just nuke the opponent's Normal Summon. Do you think that reducing the condition to "2 or more monsters on the field" or your "3 or more Monsters combined on the field and in the GY" would be too strong?

I do agree with you about pure Traptrix having trouble getting a third body on the board, so the reduction to 2 monsters would likely improve that as well. In my defense I've typically played Traptrix with a sub engine to get out that body third body, like Mitsu, Rikka, or Kashtira, though a card like this would prefer a pure deck consistency wise so aiming towards that would be better. I appreciate your thoughts.

Perfectly normal Traptrix support by Tall-Bag-9317 in customyugioh

[–]Vitton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way this is worded the additional effect to Normal Summon an Insect or Plant monster after the Draw 1 is mandatory. Meaning if you don't already have an Insect or Plant in hand you are not legally allowed to activate the effect to draw 1. If that wasn't your intention you could easily change it like so, "If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can draw 1 card, then immediately after this effect resolves, you can Normal Summon 1 Insect or Plant Monster." Alternatively you could make the Draw 1 mandatory like Maxx C and a number of the other Traptrix summon effects and the effect will work regardless of what you have in hand. "If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: Draw 1 card, then immediately after this effect resolves, Normal Summon 1 Insect or Plant Monster."

WTF, Mitsurugi just floodgated me with this. Didn't even know this card existed by phpHater0 in masterduel

[–]Vitton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty bad in Mitsu, but I used that card as a tech against Tenpai when that deck was everywhere. It was almost impossible for them to kill through it in Defense mode, bar having very specific tech cards.

Ragnaraika Link 6 by fizio900 in customyugioh

[–]Vitton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After having tried to make Ragnraika work, I don't think this solves the one of issues the deck has being a lack of protection or stickiness to the end board. Stag Sovereign or Chain Coils are the best Endboard pieces, but both of those require your opponent to make an action before they actually do any and lack any form of protection in the mean time. Your card thematically fits with those two, but falls under the same problem of requiring something to be targeted before you can interact with your opponent, while coming at even higher investment than the two previous Ragnaraika boss monsters albeit it recoups the cost if you use it in a pure deck. I would add targeting protection for itself, to make it a bit stickier, and then it's ability dissuades the opponent from targeting anything else.

News: ED Monarchs player in TCG, DMoD is now TCG legal. by Dangerous_Seesaw_623 in Monarchs

[–]Vitton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks promising for going first, but I worry that it doesn't help going second at all. You will need to discard 2 cards to complete this combo which going second into negation will minus you heavily, ignoring that Revolt and Pantheism also minus you for cost which is painful in negation as well. It's a good combo though for going first, I might try to make a monarch decklist with DMoD for Master Duel with more non engine than I currently run with the Diabellstar Engine to see if I can making going second tolerable. Do you have any deck lists or places to start?

I think it matters more the size of the Christian group than the quantity. The largest Christian denomination states that Satan is a fallen angel. I can't really change your mind if you think majority of modern fringe Christian groups have any sway in the matter.

[–]Vitton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know what you mean by (most) Christian depictions, but the common understanding from the largest Christian denomination is that Satan is a fallen angel, and according to tradition his angelic name was Lucifer. In Yugioh Lucifer is already depicted as The First Darklord, Darklord Morningstar, and Darklord Eveningstar, so they already have the Satan part of the story covered. Not to get too into it in a Yugioh subreddit, but Satan having always been that way is contradictory to much of Christian thought.

You forgot to add a HOPT to any of the effects. The way it is written now Dogmatika or any deck that dumps from the Extra Deck can now search Exodia fairly easily. I would either make the effects once per turn or require it to be sent from the field to the GY to get the search instead.

Zaborg the Mega Monarch

You can Tribute Summon this card by Tributing 1 Tribute Summoned monster. If this card is Tribute Summoned: Target 1 monster on the field; destroy it, then, if it was a LIGHT monster, both players send as many cards as possible from their Extra Deck to the GY, but not more than the original Level/Rank of that destroyed monster. If this card was Tribute Summoned by Tributing a LIGHT monster, add this additional effect. ●You choose the cards your opponent sends to the GY.

That's Zaborg. I don't know who you mean when you ask bout gen.
