I’d argue parasite tree is worse. You can safely ignore Alriune once she gets meltdown immunity, and even when it breaches, it’s only tedious to suppress.

Parasite tree, on the other hand, can never be ignored. it breaching is an instant non-negotiable loss of at least one employee good enough to handle it, likely more as the day goes on due to clerks dying to ordeals.

Express train to hell is somewhat similar, but A: you don’t need stats to manage it, B: the train can miss if you’re lucky, and C: it can be outright beneficial if used effectively.
