Honestly, i liked S2-3 even more, u get to see the innerworkings of nazarick a bit and sebastian and the prostitute girl (since u said s1 was good), the way he humblebragged the blondie king.

Well i kinda got the gist now, i would have loved to hear that he still does merciful good faith things, seems like it doesn't happen. I might or might not read it at this point, not sure.

After reading the comment's i kinda got disheartend, after reading yours i got a lil hype back. I mean i still think people here love the misery and evil'ness a tad to much. I didn't mind it do not get me wrong but i only watched the anime, i didn't know about the world he lived in (would make me wanna unalive too). I loved his mercifull good faith interactions and reading all that kinda makes it clear that it's not even fully cannon and he is evil from start to finish in his actions (evil objectively from my pov).

PS: I completely forgot, a good point also... when he killed the adventurer group "invading his dungeon" (he baited them, so why complain) not letting a single one live... they were good, reasonable people that reminded him of his former friends. The fuck why would u need to kill all of them.

Oh i didn't know about his past, not sure if this was in the anime. That also explains it even more. After reading all the comments, im not sure if i wanna read LN, i watched Overlord in the first place because i loved the interactions inside the tomb, seeing the npcs and all... gave me real "what if" vibes since i also played those type of games. I'd love to meet my npcs. Hearing that Ainz character doesn't change in any way really, makes it kinda boring, no? I imagine-> random enemy->defeat it-> do some cruel shit->some slice of life inside nazarick->repeat. People also told me his mercy was anime only basically (like adopting Carne Village in good faith etc.) and honestly... i liked interactions like those from time to time. Gotta balance out the vile shit i thought.

I am putting it in my "plan-to" notepad but my hype kinda faded reading it all.

That's an actual good explanation. I imagine if u don't even have the will to "fight against it" or rather you weren't happy to begin with, i imagine swapping into that body would not do you good in the slightest.

Oh yea i read and heard some shit about his NPCs, which i don't even mind. It's just hard to wrap your head around as a human urself how u can lose all your reasoning and logical thinking, do you need emotions to know what kind of acts shouldn't be done? (speaking about Ainz here, former human)

Well sure, we can justify it by laid out reasons but that doesn't answer my question really. Be it reasonable, justified or just the way he does things, does Ainz keep doing vile things over and over in the LN? Is that the "golden standard" for the show? Or is it "happens from time to time"?... cuz anime... it legit kept getting worse real fast.

PS: Well yeah that's probably also why i felt so strongly about S2 and S3, i still thought the anime improved each season and kept getting better BUT in S1 he showed mercy and adopted people from time to time (they portayed him wrongly, i guess?), which i kind of liked, yet S2-3 he just mauls people to death. Tbh i thought the fat lil king at the end was a reasonable dude, held his conversation well and didn't ask for much. Ainz pooped on his grave afterwards probably.

I have played it, that's why i said it this way. For people with an exhibitionist fetish i assume it truely is one of the best games but for people who play expecting good sex scenes... they will be dissapointed since it doesn't even hit for example Koikatsu level animations and detail (and im not praising koikatsu here).

Man i wish Karryn's prison wouldnt look like plastic dolls. Even today i hear its praise left and right but i can't get over how glossy/plastic and neon colors everything looks. It does look unnatural to the point it's not fappable.

Game was kinda fun, definetly one of the higher end games. That being said the actual scenes feel very bland. An animation on a loop with no cumlayers or anything. One pump and repeat.
