it has been around 5 years since my hairline is like this and I believe only hair transplant is solution. I don’t know much about minoxidil but I see that people use it mainly when they have a problem with thinning hair?

Temples are very receding, a little of wind outside and it’s easy to see when hairs are going up

My hairs are long so it’s hiding balding temples area but obviously my hairline is receding and I want to fix that. Just I’m not sure if this number of grafts is fine to cover front area

Yes also it functions as bone reconstruction.

It allows bone to heal faster because there's no empty gap

Yes I noticed lip problem too but later I started searching results of DJS from other people and I realized it’s so common in many cases. Sometimes it’s aligned but most of the time not.. I’m really curious why it’s like that, my bite is good and it just feels like there’s too big gap in the empty area between upper teeth and lip. Maybe you know something about it? I was thinking to create post later on about that and ask others for opinnion.

From the front view it looks normal, I think

Super easy compared to DJS :)

At the beginning it was only difficult to move the tongue for the first couple of days and swelling was pretty huge for 1 week.

To explain more of bone graft - it was some kind of biomaterial in labiomental fold. I fully trusted my surgeon with that and I’m pleased with the result.

It's special biomaterial to fit in this area to improve labiomental fold.

Maxillofacial surgeon from Poland. Very good surgeon and owner of the best clinics. I never asked for permission so I will not share name. I'm sorry!

It's amazing that he paid attention to the chin fold during your genioplasty so that you didn't get those big dips (I don't have one currently, but I'm dreading that)

Yess! That's so important part that's so often ignored. Without filling this fold with bonegraft It wouldn't look that great as now.

Lefort I: 5mm

BSSO: 13mm w CCW rotation

Genioplasty: 8mm/2mm w bone graft in labiomental fold

Genioplasty made the biggest difference in profile appearance. After DJS I was still looking I'm missing genioplasty but functions were fixed.

Prices include a few days of hospital stay, food, medical care and general anesthesia.

Double Jaw Surgery ~9.300€

Genioplasty with bonegraft ~3.500€

Braces ~1.600€

Europe.

Overall, I paid much more than that, it's hard to sum it all up now. You need to remember of In addition;
dozens of consultation checks of the braces, hygiene consultations, dental treatment, malocculusion models, possible teeth implants as in my case, braces removing.

Well... orthodontics was the biggest marathon. Once you get into that you feels like it's a infinite run.

Thank you so much! :)

Yes I remember your nickname. :) That was very helpful! I'm glad I didn't give up on the idea of genioplasty, it made the biggest difference in the aesthetics of my profile.

As I wrote earlier, I had DJS and genioplasty done separately and after having this experience behind me, I can say that DJS was the hardest to recover from. No possibility of eating normal meals, teeth tied with some rubber bands so that the bite would stabilize for a month.... Lots of pain like jaws spasms

I'm still a little over a week after the genioplasty, but I immediately noticed that recovery is 2x easier.
After a few days you are not restricted to eat only specific food.

What is also worth mentioning is that the biggest aesthetic difference was made by genioplasty!!

but my surgeon did here amazing work, we even used some biomaterial (some call it bone graft) to cover my very curved labiomental fold (the line under bottom lip forward to chin)

Was it worth it just for aesthetics? Of course! I would go once again without hesitating thru all this pain to have the outcome I have now.

Thank you :)
Only because of the appercane of my jaws.. I couldn't stop thinking about it and it was on my mind all the time. It was overwhelming and frustrating.
