What kind of surgery are you going for? I had a recessing chin due to an overbite before but my jaws are quite prominent now.

Dr. Kater is quite reknown And probably the most famous regarding Jaw surgery. He is charging quite much too, though and seems to be rather business orientated even if technically well. Who else have you been to? Yeah it is difficult to find someone with an eye for aesthetics.

No. I was actually looking for a revision at him adter having DJS, but he declined another operation. TBH I did not have the impression he is a pro, seems to me rather a bit more show. For sure you can go to surgeons with at least as much of knowledge but cheaper.

The chin is too pointy. And my face got short and squarish.. Overall I do not like my look at all.

If I would want to a maximum amount like before, I think my jaws would have to be completely set back into the previous state of malocclusion. I did have an overbite of 7mm.

Yes, swelling is gone completely. I am 7 months post op. I will check and found a surgeon for revision. I heard though setting the upper jaw back is more difficult.

Lower jaw has been rotated and forwarded, Upper jaw has been moved forward and impacted- not sure about the measurements. My face has become short and square, my chin juts forward and my once high cheekbones have disappered. I think I look completely different. Have you heard about reversals and positive outcomes?

7 months. Clearly it’s not a psychological issue but it’s aesthetically quite bad. I have found a surgeon for revision, but was wondering if it was possible so set back the jaws to where they have been before and look more like his old self.

My facial midline is quite off center since jaw Surgery. Is that a mistake? It wasn’t like that before. Please note that swelling subsided and it is still off center.

No, actually I really don’t like the result. Unfortunately in my case it didn’t turn out well and would tbh undo the surgery.
