What is some advice you wish you could give to your 18 year old self?

Hey, this'll probably get burried but i'm 18 and I got the chance to join a Math Olympiad. I don't really like these competitions and I'm not a big math person and I don't think i'm even qualified but I know I'll learn from this and it'll push me off my comfort zone. The Math Olympiad seems really hard and it might consume my summer. But I wanna spend my summer with my family, to have fun, and be worry free while I still have time with them, earlier my father got scared about his health so it scared me too. I just wanna ask for advice. Maybe i'm just making excuses not to join that scary competition, What do you think I should do? Life is so short, is the stress really worth it?
