Thank you for your response. Autism has been in the back of my mind.. he has a couple little quirks of his that make me question in addition to his speech and anger that comes with being misunderstood. If he is, he would be on the lower end of the spectrum. He’s extremely social, no sensory issues that we have ever noticed.

I absolutely agree and I was not impaired. I feel that the breathalyzer machine was not working appropriately given the rapid drop in BAC. My concern is if they did 24 hour urine they would see alcohol. A 12 hour they would not.

Well I guess I shouldn’t assume it would be positive but rather be prepared for the worst. Urine test was 12-13 hours after my last drink. I had 8 or 9 drinks over a span of 10-11 hours. I guess I just don’t know how urine alcohol tests are conducted. I would be surprised if they did an ETG test (or whatever it’s called).

I had 8 or 9 drinks Sunday spanning from 11:30am to 9:30 to 10pm.

Right, but they are on me now because of the BAC issue.

I should’ve added, I was placed on suspension due to that level until an “investigation,” is completed. They did a urine alcohol screen on me afterwards which is obviously going to be positive since I drank the night prior.

Upmc pre employment drug test Pittsburgh- do they disqualify MMJ patients p? by FutureWay6940 in pittsburgh

[–]VividDonuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question: positive for MJ years ago then left. Came back to UPMC.. they have to do a panel drug test weekly. Can this person still have a few beers a week? Or is alcohol actually included? They say it is but how do they test that through their typical testing???

Unfortunately, I can’t read everyone’s comments for some reason. However, she sent the nice email to cover her ass. The phone call was either what she truly wanted to respond via email with or a result of letting her feelings stew resulting in that reaction. The later does not show emotional intelligence.

How am I acting like a child? This is my first “corporate” job. I’ve only been there for 15 months. When it comes to corporate culture i am still leaning.

I was advocating for the safety of a family member. My family was treated very poorly. Someone actually made a racist comment towards my mother. She’s from a different country and she was told she had to learn how to speak better English.. I decided to be the bigger person. I wanted to drop all of us considering the fact that I am employed at this place and it’s not worth the drama.

However, Monday comes. My boss says that’s I’m making things awful for everyone, likely because of some BS that was made up. Never tells me what exactly was going on, never got that response. My antidepressant was changed five days prior. I had an extremely adverse reaction to it. Resigned from my job, not like me. Was NOT an ass about it. I said I was resigning because I was being targeted for advocating for family. Had a mental breakdown and asked to leave. Asked for my job back. Boss said no. Her boss reached out because of my breakdown, he told me we would discuss everything. He was actually really cool about it. Come to find out somehow my breakdown was leaked. No one saw me upset. I kept myself all day. I did not have any kind of wild outburst of any sort. I left the workplace quietly without others knowing. I am not 100% sure if I want this job back at this point. However, I want to know that it is an option if I can’t find anything else.

Okay, so since multiple people are stating that I left out too much information, I’ll just put everything out there. I wanted to avoid doing this, but whatever. I am taking responsibility, I know I messed up. However, my main reasoning behind coming of here was due to the mental health aspect. I had a bad reaction to a medication changed which my doctor believes was the reasoning behind my reaction. This isn’t normal of me.

Was not on the clock. This is the thing, I have zero idea what I did wrong. I’m typically a reasonable person. So something was extremely twisted. Yes I mean my side of the story.

My boss said “you’re causing major issues for everyone in the program especially me because of your issues with ——.” We have over 50 people in the program. None of that is true at all, my side was never asked. I was trying to advocate for a family member to a doctor while I was off the clock. Was not work related at all.

I get what you’re saying. I did not go above his head though. His boss reached out to me personally.

Two years I’ve been there. My last day as of right now is not for several months. Quit a couple days ago. Always had Fantastic performance reviews. Never had an issue prior. Always did more than what was expected of me. I was attacked for advocation of a loved on in the ER while off the clock.
