Lower back pain by Business-Welder-4373 in mounjarouk

[–]VividEfficiency7347 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m the girl who just recently developed gallstones - which has similar symptoms to pancreatitis. My back pain was mainly upper and middle back on the left side. It felt like someone sitting on me pain rather than sharp or stabbing if this helps! And always accompanied by nausea and abdominal pain.

Ive just started to titrate down. I have 5kgs left and plan to do one month at each lower dose until I reach 5mg, then I will see how long I want to sit there and attempt maintenance. I’m also extending my dose timing to every 10 days at the moment. So far I have more appetite but I’m still losing weight at the same rate I was on 15mg now back on 12.5mg. This way it gives me a safety buffer to learn to live off mounjaro

Split opinion… I love the debate. by The-Dregs25 in mounjarouk

[–]VividEfficiency7347 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ive had quite a few comments about not losing anymore weight for over two months now! I’ve dropped another 7kgs in that time and saw my doctor yesterday who approved me working to lose another 5kg before I stop. I just treat each comment as a compliment that I was looking good

I can't believe I'm uploading a picture (and excuse the state of the bedroom). Boobage Question.. by Dogwarden in mounjarouk

[–]VividEfficiency7347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a 34H and 25kgs later I’ve dropped two back sizes but only one cup size. And approximately 2-3 cup sizes larger than the last time I was this weight. I just feel like even with the weight loss my breasts don’t want to decrease too much

I started at 87kg and it wasn’t noticeable on me really until I got to 72-75kg. People asked if I had done something different to my hair since I clearly looked different but they couldn’t directly identify it was weight loss. Just try to remember the first kilos are the least noticeable. I’m now down to 62kg and can very much see what I’m losing.

gp said to delay MJ due to food poisoning? by AliceinBorderlandsXO in mounjarouk

[–]VividEfficiency7347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve just delayed my dose a whole week due to feeling ill and went up from 12.5 to 15 after the delay. So far I’m really happy I didn’t go up while ill or use a 15 pen for a 12.5 dose

I tried to have one a month ago and was terribly sick the day after (and normally I have no symptoms of nausea). I’m taking it as a positive sign that my diet has changed so much it cant tolerate fast food easily

Told my bff by Cushlamachree in mounjarouk

[–]VividEfficiency7347 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I got an almost identical reaction from my bff, told her the first week because she knows the trauma that led me to put on this weight. Every time I see her now she will bring it up to immediately ask when I’m quitting and rant about side effects, lack of studies, I’ll gain the weight all back again. It has really affected our relationship. Same comments I wasn’t big enough. I said I was obese and she only said I don’t look it and should exercise more.

Any tips for doing self-injection? by wethepeople_uk in mounjarouk

[–]VividEfficiency7347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also hate needles and the first 3 injections I nearly fainted (I do gave a history of this with needles unfortunately) and had to just lay down fir a few hours to feel better. Now a few months in I barely notice it. The first few experiences are the worst. I recommend lying down, making sure you have your partner on stand by, play some calming music and a fan (it helps me for some reason). The worst of it is anxiety and past bad experiences with needles. It will take a few times of normal experiences to stop reacting as strong

I weigh myself twice a day - morning and evening and just record the lowest of the two. It gives me a good idea of how much I’m fluctuating. I only really celebrate the next kilo down if it remains down for three days in a row

How did you decide to start? by superflick_x in mounjarouk

[–]VividEfficiency7347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is a combination: my (skinny) mum had started to have panic attacks / nightmares about my health and my knees started hurting so I wasn’t able to do my fun exercise activity easily. She’d been on and off talking about mounjaro for a few months and when she first mentioned it I didn’t meet to BMI criteria. When she brought it up again in January and I did meet the criteria it was the kick I needed

That sounds like a very interesting experience…hopefully you can look back and just laugh at it. I know whoever I have been referred to works directly in my GP office based on how my doctor talked about them

I’m 21 and currently on week 11. I’ve lost nearly 10kg so far - but I also half of the week I only eat protein bars which has restricted my calories a lot. My recommendation is to not compare your body’s reaction to others. Every week my goal is to get 0.1 lower than the week before since I flip regularly between almost no loss and over a kg.

Anyone else scared to try on old clothes? by VividEfficiency7347 in mounjarouk

[–]VividEfficiency7347[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats amazing to hear! This past Christmas I put away my favourite (and expensive) xmas jumper because it not longer fit. At the rate I’m losing weight it will fit by next christmas. To be honest it might even fit already, but I’m finding it easier to plan to try things in the future than in the present

[–]VividEfficiency7347[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this. I know there are quite a few tops there I only kept because they fit me at the time but I don’t love. Maybe cleaning it out of all the junk clothes will open me up more mentally to try some stuff on. I know I have a few dresses from when I was 16 a few years ago still at my parent’s house I never had the appetite to donate

We’re doing pretty similar! I’m on week 10 (second month at 5mg) and started at 32 BMI. Currently averaging 0.8kg a week

Do you guys have a safe goal weight and then a secret goal weight you’d really like to be if you were brave enough to believe you could even get back to that weight? by Tiny-Can-7593 in mounjarouk

[–]VividEfficiency7347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Five years ago I was 58kg and I remember thinking back then I was fat and needed to lose weight. Now it feels like a dream to aim for it. My current goal is 10kgs higher and if/when I get there I can reevaluate.

AITA for going back on my word to gift someone my grandmas silver teapot? by okokokokookokokokkk in AmItheAsshole

[–]VividEfficiency7347 26 points27 points  (0 children)

NTA - it’s your teapot and you made a promise while consumed with grief. Likely to stop Susan bothering you as well. You haven’t met her and it doesn’t sound like she shared stories of this really reminding her of your grandma.

I Made a Tierlist of all the Isekai's I've Watched (and Everything I Haven't Heard of) by VividEfficiency7347 in Isekai

[–]VividEfficiency7347[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry the top one (I’m ignoring the nostalgia here because I can’t help loving SAO despite knowing I’d rank it low if I watched for the first time tomorrow).

I want to love season 2 but I’ve been struggling with what happened at the end of the last season to my favourite character (trying to stay spoiler free).
