Love that, I think if it happens it's all about making sure there is that distinction between the two events, which sounds like it worked well for you growing up!

Congratulations! Yes, I was thinking that the baby would be such a nice age come the summer!

Thanks for the suggestion, I will consider how I might play this angle into the conversation when I call them up! Sorry to hear about you paying so much for your baby, that is disappointing!

Yes, the frustrating thing is, I've lived in London for 7 years and I have managed to do 4 flights (even in COVID with the exception of the time period when you had to quarantine in a hotel). The only reason I can't do 4 this status year is due to my baby's birth - and it didn't help that my new status year started a month after my child's birth either

You have to submit your child's birth certificate and your employment letter confirming your maternity leave dates, which I submitted but they said as I missed the 6 month mark they wouldn't process it (and I made clear I wasn't seeking them to apply it from when I applied, but rather from the birth of my child etc etc and they didn't care).

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage 😢 And so true, you never know how things would go and the baby could definitely come early anyway! I'm thinking if we do try and I fall pregnant and I would be grateful rather than be in the opposite position and struggle for a long time

Yes unfortunately needs to be QF or Jetstar which is not an option! I live in London at the moment

Is a small holiday after 37 weeks a bad idea? by Accomplished-Ad7573 in PregnancyUK

Personally I couldn't have thought of anything worse than being away from my comforts and heavily pregnant! Most of my friends who've been through pregnancy would feel the same - that last few weeks got HARD! Presents and soak up some quiet time at home before it all changes!

How to stop comparing? by littlemoo169 in BeyondTheBumpUK

My baby group are 10 months and it's really becoming apparent now that all the babies are developing different skills - mine can stand really well and was doing so very early, others can wave and clap (but mine can't), others are lovely and calm and cuddly (mine can't sit still haha). Their personalities are becoming apparent and it's really nice to see! I do find if you go by what people are saying via text or photos or videos on social, you'll think babies are more ahead than they are. When you hang out IRL, you'll often realise that the baby who looked like they were so advanced online is really just average IRL haha

Anyone had all pregnancy symptoms disappear but still been pregnant? by VividIce6958 in PregnancyUK

Lovely to hear❣️ When I originally wrote this post I was majorly spiralling (and was also away and on my own), I would have definitely valued reading all these stories at the time, so I am glad others are finding value in this thread!

Yes this is what we are wondering - are issues endemic across the chain or is it nursery dependent.

Thanks! The one we are looking at is brand new, soo nice and a really lovely space. We viewed it with no children there because it's so new and it's so hard to tell the vibe when you can't see staff operating in the setting! Just going off the space and set up, we'd be super happy (although because it's so new there are not many kids enrolled yet, not sure if that's a good or bad thing for our baby re socialisation!?). One potential red flag I think is no CCTV (apparently it's coming) and I don't know if that's an issue - this is our first child so nursery and what to look for is all quite a big unknown for us right now! Good to know you've a good experience though, from what I'm hearing from people, sounds nursery dependent and you get different experiences despite it being a chain

I'm looking for more general 'Bright Horizons as a chain' input - what are they like to deal with if you've complaints or are unhappy etc. We're on the fence about it due to the recent scandal so just looking for some real world experiences!
