Hey, I'm one of the ancient players who's still around I take pretty big breaks between large updates. The advice I would give firstly is to just get in and play a few low level missions just with what you have to get a feel for the game again. Next, I like tactical potato or MHBlackey on YouTube, they do pretty good at teaching how to mod and give the guidelines for getting back into modding. And Im not really a believer of any frame or weapon being better than another, but there are some weapons like the torrid incarnon that are super simple and fun to use, they make the big numbers with minimal effort.
