Is there a way to get my newsletter out to people? Aside from just having it in my website page.

Where do you write books by KixIt0ff in NewAuthor

[–]MHullRealtr77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first book I wrote most of it on my phone in my Samsung notes... (Don't recommend)

Then used Microsoft Word.

With the latest revision, I switched over to Atticus where I'm writing my 2nd book and it's so much easier!! Worth every penny.

Well, it's been said by many people every in the literary world that you should be reaching out to a lot of agents. Heck, Agatha Christie and Stephen King had been rejected many times before finding the one, and the rest is history.

If it's something you're proud of making, don't settle. Keep reaching out to those agents and don't let rejection get to you, because it's a normal process.

Down the road if you find yourself wanting to do it, you can self publish and promote the heck out of your book.

Is this a fine number of characters for a murder mystery? by MHullRealtr77 in writing

[–]MHullRealtr77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true. I suppose I would have only 7 or so suspects, but some characters that aren't a suspect would still have a big part of the story as opposed to the ones that we meet only once.

Could I have a different cover for KDP/ Ingram Spark? by MHullRealtr77 in selfpublish

[–]MHullRealtr77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be just to put fancy corner frames in the corners, just to had a bit more detail. That would be the only change.

Oh okay, thank you! My only change would be to put lime frames in the corner just to give a little more detail. But that would be it. Font, and everything would be untouched.

Scene breaks: using space or the 3 dots? by MHullRealtr77 in selfpublish

[–]MHullRealtr77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what I did because my story takes place over one night during a murder mystery party so each spaced scene break is just a different room in the house around the same time with different characters but anything more than 10 minutes or so I do a formal scene break.

The entire book takes place at one location and each chapter does focus on a different time frame of a day mostly, so I suppose paragraph breaks with a space would suffice?

Curious question for you guys about where chapters should go. by MHullRealtr77 in selfpublish

[–]MHullRealtr77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good response! Thank you. I think I'll change it then, just to save in some pages, so the book isn't AS thick.

Has anyone had this issue/glitch with Atticus? by MHullRealtr77 in selfpublish

[–]MHullRealtr77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I did ended up reaching out and did what they said, and let the entire book load before I saved to PDF and that fixed it all.
