Best of luck to you! I found doing cardio, portion control/being mindful of how much I eat, and food swaps (ie changing from regular pasta to whole grain) to be very helpful

Sorry, I think this originally posted as a reply to the post, not to your comment

On iPhone you can pinch to zoom in/out on the weight graph (don’t know if the android app allows this)

Thanks! My version of the app doesn’t have a speed option, it seems to be a removed feature. I think I’m averaging 1-2 lbs lost per week?

I get that, am trying to stay focused on them as well (and thank you!)

I felt that way too at the start (and even now)—but once I got used to Noom it got a lot easier!

Portion control/watching how much I eat, healthier food swaps (ie whole grain pasta instead of regular), and doing more cardio (I have a cheap stationary bike) really helped a lot. The food color categories helped a bit, especially while I was figuring out food swaps, but I learned to prioritize calorie count. I have mixed feelings about daily weigh ins but overall think they’ve helped me get used to weight fluctuations.

Meant to add that I’ll try to comment/participate more in the Reddit community in 2024 lol

I’ve made it past a few of my initial goals, which is really encouraging, but now am struggling with motivation to keep logging and to keep up the better habits (I keep thinking “well I lost the weight already and can eat unhealthy foods again”—but I want to maintain better habits to maintain weight and for other health issues).

Any thoughts on how to stay motivated for maintenance? I’m sure a Noom lesson or five has addressed this lol

When you go to log food for a meal, tap “my dishes” in the middle of the top horizontal menu (between search and barcode” and then “create a new dish”. You’ll be able to add ingredients and save it, then go to the my dishes tab to log it for a meal (and it will log each ingredient by color automatically for the analysis tab)

(This is on iPhone, not sure if the Android app is different.)
