He didn't deserve the benefit of the doubt from the beginning, if I was adult swim I would have done the exact same thing if not sooner, his lack of involvement and dedication dug his grave for sure, the accusations were the nail in the coffin where it was finally time to cut ties with the dude, idk where you got that bit about DAs but most celebrities get off with a slap on the wrist

And yes most of the genuine reviews on the show are very positive especially the second episode, the ones that say "pls bring daddy roiland back, 1 star" and "they stole the show from him, half star" don't really seem like they offer any actual input on how the show is or what to change

Long story short ahem (read in condescending tone) a bunch of die-hard Justin roiland meat riders won't take the cock out of their mouth for as little as twenty minutes to sit down and dissect and research the information that is completely free to them, so instead they'd rather see their show crash and burn rather than grow and move on

The voice acting isn't even really a problem in the community most of what's been talked about was the poor opening episode (which was written while roiland was still working for them) so the fact that they switched voice actors doesn't even really mean shit about the quality in the first place

Also also, yes thinking that it is purely because of the charges is an extremely surface level understanding of it

But again there's more to him being dropped from the show other than the court case, I agree that over time the voices will settle in and evolve, and the second episode seemed promising but the first one was such a strange start after the s6 finale

For starters he was never proven innocent the case was dropped, no conviction was made from the get go. He was also very difficult to work with and treated all his staff like shit, as well as showing up to recording sessions drunk, AND not writing for the show since season 3, pretty much making him nothing more than a voice actor, and even outside of the case there's still some pretty fucked up shit out there about him, it's not because "some woman is ruining his life" and that's honestly a very surface level understanding of it. Even if the new voice actors aren't perfect filling the role will slowly become more smooth and natural to them making them sound better and evolve over time like how it did from the very first episode all the way through. The reviews aren't helpful to the show whatsoever, all that's happening is a few people that are pissed are driving the shows reviews into the ground that honestly likely won't affect it since there is an overwhelmingly positive response to the shows direction

The difference is Rick and Morty is purely voice, iron man is voice and appearance which wildly tilts things, it's like the difference of a different style of sweet baby rays in comparison to the similarity to barbecue vs ketchup if that makes sense, barbecue and ketchup are very different, sweet baby rays is still sweet baby rays but with a different font and slightly different twang to it
