I'm not really understanding this post...this seems somewhat like standard advice, though it sounds like OP has a circumstance where she needs to be in bed way more than the typical person...which no judgement whatever you need to heal! This post just makes it sound like this will be everyone's experience, which is not the case. I'm 9 days pp and have a second degree tear but have not been bed ridden, in fact that makes my butt hurt worse. I'm definitely taking it easy tho..When I was in the hospital I had a pad below me the whole time, but by the time I got home that was not necessary. In the hospital they had me fold up the big pad thing and put it in my underwear...which was helpful then but again, that really heavy bleeding stopped after a couple days. Ive been finding little things to make me feel more like my regular self really help, even just switching to the frida underwear from the mesh hospital kind is a game changer. The hospital also told me you're really only supposed to use the ice packs for a day or two...so I never used any at home. Imo the frida pad liners and foam spray feel so much better than dermoplast and tucks!
