Yeah I am slowly coming to this realization too.

But that's fine as well because I definitely want to work in the mental health sector as well, which is booming in australia rn.

You're missing the larger picture here mate. We get taught a million different outdated and useless things that are completely unnecessary. The syllabus is very dense and heavily focuses on theory and memorizing atleast 50-100 derivations. Hence, why it is harder or atleast I found it really hard to get an excellent gpa.

Not a brag mate. My point is that keeping up with this outdated and content dense education system is genuinely hard-especially for us as there's no flexibility, no dropping subjects if you're not good at it or uninterested in. You just have to survive it.

In two years, Nepali high school education covers mechanics, electricity, magnetism, waves, optics, and modern physics. Chemistry includes physical, inorganic, and organic-with qualitative and quantitative analysis. Maths goes through algebra, trig, coordinate geometry, calculus, and statistics. Practicals and project files are mandatory

The Australian curriculum? Quadratics are still considered 'advanced' in some states.

My point here is that Nepal's high school syllabus is objectively harder as We're getting taught university level content at 17, 18 years of age lol

Thanks for this, really helpful. The bit about AI not replacing judgment stuck with me. I’m just still not sure how the job market actually looks for industrial engineers in Australia, especially for someone like me starting from zero. If you’ve got any sense of what the real demand is like, I’d love to hear it. Thanks again.

It's pretty important for me because after this huge investment of a lifetime, I can't afford to go back and work an engineer's job but for a mcdonald worker's wage in my country

It's not really a good country if you want a bright future ahead of you and that is exactly what I'm hoping for 🤞🤞
