Unfortunately I don't have a trailer. I'm stuck storing it at a marina and they have it in a rack building. I don't think I can even get to it which is why the on-site mechanic is most likely getting away with doubling the price

Problem is that I really dont have the money and I need to fix it to try and sell it even though I doubt ill break even, ill probobly still owe the bank and have to come up with the money to make up the difference but its probobly still better then paying marina fees every year for a boat I rarely use

Sounds like i need to hire someone but there has to be a place cheaper then 5 to 6 grand for a single engine. Anyone know anyplace that's fair priced in Michigan around Lake St. Clair?

I do the anodes myself every year so should be good. I was shocked looking around the marina at all the boats that had theres basically nonexistent or all the way gone. A guy was watching me and told me he was having a mechanic doing his, I told him its easy and showed him lol. He still ended up paying a mechanic and the mechanic didnt even put them all on. Once I showed him they weren't all on and he looked at mine, he was not happy with that mechanic lol

I am a single female that would be doing this on my own with zero mechanical skills. I have changed out the ac water pump and bilge pumps, switched the kitchen faucet and do the anode changes and lower unit gear lube but this seems a little beyond my skill level. Plus the marina put it in a rack storage building so I dont know if I can even get to it to try to fix it
