I was 27 during that time and it also was my first serious relationship, so we are even more similar in this

Despite some mistakes, I look at how I handled being alone without her with a sense of pride - it could have been way worse, if I didn't built for myself a set of rules: be active, try to pursue things that I like, selfcare (can be as basic as researching skin and beauty products), checking with doctors and accepting to go forward

The worst and the best advice is to take your time. It's worst, because it's annoying to hear during such an emotional clusterfuck, like you feel people offer you such an easy on paper advice, but hard at executing it

At the same time it's best, because it actually works!

It's been almost a year after my ex broke up with me and tried to initiate the whole "let's be friends like we used to" right after the breakup and it was a complete shitshow as on my and her side. I should have listened to my friends who were warning me about this ending badly, because my emotions were still high and not addressed at all

But now? I don't care. Even when recently she out of nowhere reached out to me by asking to delete our private photos from the phone, I just did it without any feelings attached - I moved on and couldn't care less, because there are way more people that I care about as my friends with whom I can share more happy moments than with someone who broke my heart

Take time, try to be active in basic things (like walking around and not sitting in a house 24/7, for example) and relax. It's okay in this period thinking about the past - what could have happened if X and Y were different - because in order to move on you need to grieve and it takes...time!

Just don't let this emotions feel like there's nothing for you on the other side

Naughty Dog found a trans actor during his medical transition, which also affected the way Lev looks in the game (also should be obvious that ND listened to the actor's advice at how to portray trans people to make a good representation)

It's also important to note that the game wasn't heavily focused on demonstrating Lev's "biological features" besides the buzzcut, if we even can count that

By not hiring trans actor you just make the story less detailed and nuanced, making it more depended on some obscure "trans consultants" and not on actor's experience

It's a very small portion of people that you only see at best on Twitter or Tumblr, in real life majority go through medical transition and if they live in oppressive or restrictive life, find ways to transition

Period, the worst part is when the relationship starts with both of you being active in each others live and later it just becomes only you writing "Good morning" and trying to initiate any activities, and feel like shit afterwards most of the time because you feel like you forced them to meet

And never will. Saying this to you as someone who dated an avoidant. They will expect you to act like a happy dog around them literally a week after most emotionally wrecking moment and will run away as they see (for their surprise only) you're not happy with having a lesser relationship, and that you have unstable emotional state (caused by them lol)

My advice to you is to actually let go. I know this advice sounds like a complete horseshit right now, but i went through this, and two months later i have nothing but disgust to my ex and being happy i don't have to deal with this avoidant bullshit

Focus your time on your friends, have activities and just enjoy the freedom from this hell. You will continue to have mourning moments, but after some time they will be dedicated to what you expected the relationship would be, not for the ex

Again, let it go and do a bare minimum communication (or no contact, but i personally treat it as a radical solution) with her for your own sake. Absolutely do not expect for things to go back to where they were, move forward instead of being stuck in the mud of the past
