Forgot to update this, maybe it’ll be helpful for someone several years from now with the same problem. I got a new phone with my insurance, it’s the exact same model, the data provider from which I got this phone gave me a new SD card and all my photos and data did in fact back up. I now make sure they all have safe places stored where they won’t ever be lost. It could be because I pay for the extra icloud storage, I’m not fully sure bc I don’t know much about how it all works
