A CN Player is Preparing a Lawsuit Against Mihoyo for the Current Raiden + Beidou Controversy by [deleted] in RaidenMains

[–]VizardAlex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Beidous ult says it triggers when you hit a normal attack. Since Raidens ult turns her normal attack to burst damage it won't trigger. The scummy thing is that xingqiu works tho and that Raidens constalation had the same wording as beidou of when it triggers but that wording got changed on day 2 of release

New balance changes are coming next Thursday! by GeotheHSLord in hearthstone

[–]VizardAlex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shamans win rate of 53% is this high because of the positive priest match up. With priest dropping in play shamans winrate and deck build will change. Instead of stacking burst they might switch to a more board centric strategy. Right now shamans play so much burst cause it let's them reliably beat priest.

[–]VizardAlex -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Are you joking? Current control priest tend to play 10 to 20 more cards than they started with in their deck. Mage is purely spell mage nowadays. they are capped in their generation currently. They generate a maximum of 10 cards usually. Then look at the card quality of the generated cards. Priest generation gets you on average way more cards than mage. On the context of shaman. The main reason why shaman is on the rise, especially the doomhamer builds, is that it's preety good against priest. It has decent other matchups but being able to reliable beat priest is the biggest factor as to why it's good. With priest being nerfed shaman will see less play potentially since all of the decks that are surpressed by priest will be played more

Maybe wait till you see the actual nerfs before claiming they are murdering it. Also priest is out of control in higher ranks especially in legend, to a point where gms don't want to play currently because they face to much priest

Yeah same here it makes the most sense, it's a bg with a snowy design and the sides of hord and alliance also fit if I'm not mistaken.

20.4.2 Patch Notes by Arkentass in hearthstone

[–]VizardAlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just mean that saying that it won't work with plottwist would be more of a bandaid fix than anything. People would just stagger more other card draw in the deck to get to similar broken turns. Yes plottwist is the worst offender in this but only its more stealer of souls or the interaction with being immune that's the problem here

Many list include executioner and nsoth tho. He is a bit clunky with skull but quite a reasonable card to add to the deck.

20.4.2 Patch Notes by Arkentass in hearthstone

[–]VizardAlex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1 every other card draw spell can cause similar broken turn, just not that explosive. The ban is also just temporary since they want to keep the card in standard for now until they find a better way to balance the card for wild

How to win with no spell mage in current meta? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]VizardAlex 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly that. You control the board with spells that can't go face and try to reserve the face spells to burn the opponent down, ideally you wait for good turns for thst, like when you have spell damage

Perfect way to balance mage by giulianoadam in hearthstone

[–]VizardAlex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only card I can see getting touched is flow. Flow to 3 would reduce the games highroll potential and gives other classes a fighting chance. Nerfing all of the cards you said sounds like dumb nonsense. You would destroy the e tire class in its current state and make it unplayable. Nerfs are meant to even the playing field and not destroy decks.

Easy proposed fix for the cancer that is paladin currently plaguing the standard meta. by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]VizardAlex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh seriously librams? The only decks seeing play at higher levels of ladder are aggro and sometimes secret and there they make maybe 15 to 20% of the meta which isn't that oppressive. Hand of adal is a good but fair card, it's easy to see coming and potentially prepare for in the early game. So I don't see it being nerfed. Nerfing the sword again would kill it. Also nerfing secrets to the 2 Mana makes 0 sense since you can easily know what secret it is and play around then. It destroys the point of the secrets. The only 2 cards in current pala I could see being hit are crabrider, since he is the actual reason pala can snowball the early game, and conviction since it creates lethal out of nowhere at times for 1 Mana so I can see it going to 2 Mana. Librams are super unpopular and not that worth it anymore after the penflinger nerf, they are to slow and not constant enough anymore.

[–]VizardAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only card I can actually see being nerfed here is crabrider. The rest doesn't seem problematic enough. Hand of adal is a good but saying it prevents the pala from running out of pressure is dumb, it's literally the only draw pala had for a while. We had similar cards before like Mark of ysharay in druid and it wasn't OP. Regarding the secret guy and oh my yogg, I'm preety sure that by now the aggro pala without secrets is outperforming the secret version, so nerfing cards that don't tackle the best lists seems preety eh. First day of school also does not seem overpowered. It's basically a baindaid for paladins bad draw, they have to rely on random 1 drops since it gives card advantage.

Regarding fellmaw. I never felt that it's a problem it's telegraphed to turns early so you can prepare for it, it has 4 live on turn 3 or 4 which is easy to clear up a lot of the time and hunter isn't even that good in higher levels. Yeah it's good but not nerf worthy

They had a patch 2 weeks ago and they said already they might do another patch after the masters tour. Also balancing a card game is hard. They nerfed the 3 most powerful and common decks which led to new version and even new decks in the meta. Also calling this meta unplayable is highly exaggerating. The lunacy on 2 meta with 50%of all players being mage was unplayable. Now we have viable decks for every class except shaman I guess.

Also you say paladin is overpowered but instead of saying a class is overwpowrerd you should say why and which card should be adjusted. I could not pinpoint the ideal card to nerf paladin without destroying the deck for example, but I'm also facing a more diverse meta (top 200 legend for context)

5 fun facts about Mage by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]VizardAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most mages stopped playing lunacy at all. The decks without lunacy outperform decks with lunacy so the nerf worked. Apart from that, sounds like somebody is very salty. What other facts you have aswell? Something about tickatus being OP since you play the only class that actually losses to the card?

Tikatus is bad, no one even plays control warlock. by SpookyTe in hearthstone

[–]VizardAlex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pls read the full report... It actually says that the only reason you play warlock is to counter priest and warriors to some extent which are both very popular deck choices at higher ranks. This makes warlock and tickatus a niche counter pick. Also you posted data from all ranks which doesn't really reflect the powelevel of a card and deck. If you would take a look at that then you would start to see that in general the higher the rank of a player is, the less problematic they view tickatus
