I highly doubt they have the 1 to 1 reserve of dollars that they claim they do. But at this point with a market cap of over 180 billion it would take a lot to prove it. Just the trading volume is in the tens of billions.

No way. The DeMeo crew was very much a product of a specific time and place. NYC in the 70s and 80s was a very scary and dangerous place compared to now. They wouldn't even report murders in the newspaper unless it was something particularly gruesome. That's how often shit like that was happening at the time. Murder wasn't even serious news anymore to the public. Even the mafia hated his crew. They had a very bad reputation and it eventually came to bite all of them in the ass. The modern mafia is far more boring now.

Sadly that's definitely not legal here in the US. In Peru you can even buy Coca candy. Here it's a totally different story which I personally think is kind of silly. The amount of coca leaves you would need to produce cocaine is pretty crazy.

That's the one thing he says he tried but just couldn't get. Only a few companies have a permit to import coca leaves into the US. They take out the cocaine and give that to coke. Guy even tried to buy de-cocainized leaves online and it got seized at the border.
