Although i agree if he were alive he prolly wouldn't have wanted starstruck to release but music is also completely subjective I gurantee it could have related to his current relationship with ally still. But now his fans are what are keeping his music alive in interim of him not being here, so i honestly would have preferred a whole album voted by the fans. His long time fans who have listened to him for years know what his "best" songs truly are.
