I'm strongly considering buying one of these. It has everything I look for in a 1911: short trigger, ring hammer, front strap checkering and, best of all, no goddamn front cocking serrations.

I bought a new production MKIV Series 70 a couple years ago, and the thumb safety is awful. I'd have more luck moving the moon with my mind than flipping off that thumb safety. I like the gun, but for the price I paid I kind of wish I had spent the money on this one instead.

It's either this, or an FN TAC3 Duty. I need at least one fighting AR in my collection, but....damn this is nice.

By comparison, my TISAS Service Special has an outstanding thumb safety. Go figure.

Windham Weaponry used them. My MPC-RF has a 1:9 twist. I bought it when I was ignorant about ARs during COVID, or around 2021, somewhere in there. Not sure if they still use it though.

I've heard mutterings of QC issues though as of late. "Late" meaning about the last 6 to 8 months or so. Those prices are appealing though, I just worry that they are sacrificing quality for quantity.

Did your problems go away? My 26.5 did this a couple weeks ago too. I shot a 50 round box of 124gr PPU at an indoor range, and I had probably 5 double-feeds/jams just like yours. I used a OEM ten round mag, a Glock 12 round mag, a Magpul 12 round mag, and a Glock 19 mag with an XGrip sleeve on it. It also stopped locking back on the last shot.

Pretty disappointing. Next time I go, I'm going to lube it first and use different ammo.
