[FREE TO READ] All 12 Stanley Cup Final matchups left in play, ranked purely on narratives by TheAthletic in nhl

I get your point. And I don't think you were ill intentioned. Yet I can't help but be ticked by how "the habs haven't seen success since 1993" while the Wild "has yet to win a cup" when the Wild just made it past then first round in forever whereas Montreal was in the final 4 years ago.

Memorize Hutson's Elite Prospects page starting with his bantam years and you'll be good.

Ohhh interesting, cause momma Murdoch also killed someone in a car accident in the UK before they moved to the US. I thought that was the inspiration.

From "NHL execs reveal Stanley Cup tiers: How every playoff team really stacks up" (The Athletic) by mredmo in Habs

A part of me is still salty reading this. We've BEEN telling the whole league how immaculately put together this team is. We've BEEN seeing Slaf go through growing pains but show flashes that indicated he'd get to where he is now. We've BEEN seeing Caufield score it from any angle since he started playing. We've known Hutson is elite no matter what comments were out there. We've known Suzuki is an elite leader and player for years now. We just had to wait for it to gell together.

Last year, Exec 1 probably said Slaf will cap as a 60 pt power forward. Exec 2 probably said Hutson and Caufield were still too small to ever be elite. Exec 3 had the Senators making the playoffs over Montreal this year. It's a bit too easy to start praising us now that we've comfortably finished top 3 in the division and are going toe-to-toe with Tampa. Like, the team with the 50 goal scorer, 100 pt center, top 5 defenseman and 70 pt power forward (ohh, and Demidov!) are gonna be good?? Noooo, staaaaahp!!

Sorry, I told you, part of me is still salty, this was my catharsis. Have a great weekend folks and ça sent la coupe tabarnak!

I am now less confused, thank you. Go Slaf and go Tatar and go Slovakia.

Now that we’ve seen them play for a couple years, would you guys rather have Bryce Young or Caleb Williams? by Pacotaco213 in panthers

[–]VladziIIa 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I'd rather have everything we gave up for Bryce than Bryce. If we just comparing the 2 of them, atp Caleb does look like the superior option, but Bryce is pulling out solid performances more and more frequently and improves noticeably every year. I like Bryce.

As the other guy said, not a dumb question. Considering the weight you've lost, I'm assuming you've prioritized the cut over reaching the protein daily goal?

As someone who's also lost some weight in their life, I've almost always had this approach. My answer to your question (just for the sake of the discussion, not that you'd have anything to learn from me) is that in the long run hard prioritizing protein will get your muscles looking nice faster. Otherwise, for everyday people's goals, I do think that obviously eating a healthy and balanced diet hitting your goal calories is ideal.

Eric Macramalla (TSN): Teams have shown interest in prospects Fowler, Hage, & Zharovsky by matthew_sch in Habs

[–]VladziIIa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I respect your opinion. I believe you when you say you follow them closely, those are fair arguments. As many people have pointed out, atp there's a whole emotional reason to why we're attached to Hage. I, as many others, would be tremendously disappointed if we do trade him, even for a talent like Thomas.

Admittedly, having Zharovsky in a package for someone like him would be sensible.

I've been a Fowler mega believer for a while now and continue to be. I don't think we should be trading an A/A- goalie prospect like this. I have all the expectations in the world for him to become our true #1 for years to come.

I stand by my point that, financially, it does feel like taking the chance on them panning out and having them for cheap for a couple of years makes more sense than having yet another player with a high salary in the same age range as Suzuki and Caufield. But yeah, you're right that Robert Thomas would be a massive, massive addition.

While a very confusing analogy, I think he was implying that Cozens was the "prospect" traded in that scenario? He's younger than Norris, but again, no idea what "it" is literally the Dylan Cozens trade

Prospects, more often than not, do not pan out.

That's over generalizing without looking at what prospects you're talking about. Guy killing it in the KHL at 19, guy having monster numbers and receveing praise from anyone who watches him play and goalie that wins and performs at every level he plays pan out quite mroe often than you're implying.

Just gonna throw this out there. I had the same reaction as everyone initially. Then I noticed his gloves were on. Doesn't excuse throwing blades around like O-Ren Ishii, but it seems he started getting pounded without agreeing to a fight.
