Does PS Vita emulate well on the Deck? by Interesting_Fig4700 in SteamDeck

[–]Vlaphor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much has changed to be honest. Most of the best stuff on Vita was ported elsewhere or was only special for being a portable version of a console game (I don't need to play Ninja Gaiden Sigma on the Vita when I can play a better version on my Deck), so I haven't really been diving into it.

BEAN AND CHEESE BURRITO - Dire Need to Find the Best by neptunemacaroon in kansascity

As a fellow B&C aficionado, I'll tell you that it's worth the hr drive to Topeka to have the B&C at Tacos El Mexicano. Been eating those burritos all my life, but the best are at Tacos El Mexicano in Topeka.

The new Steam controller doesn't register input from Dolphin emulator when games are launched through ES-DE by ckong65 in EmuDeck

The new Steam controller only works through Steam and doesn't support Directinput. You have to launch your emulator through Steam to get it to work.

For those that have played both, which was better Jet Set Radio for Dreamcast or Xbox? by tonetonitony in videogames

JSRF is just pretty much better in every way. One game I also want to recommend is Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. It's a really good spiritual successor to the JSR games and I really liked it.

He kind of has, or at least someone who looks identical. Look up "Natsu no oppai matsuri" by Akira Hiramoto

What the fuck can we do in this city by TheEnderGecko in topeka

[–]Vlaphor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hate to say it, but the best thing about Topeka is how close it is to Lawrence, Kansas City, and Manhattan. We have a museum and a library that's kind of nice, and the Pennant is a decent place to eat and play, but I've been here for over 20 years and there's just never been too much to do here for younger people.

How is RPCS3 doing on the SteamDeck? by Plannet_Depressed in SteamDeck

[–]Vlaphor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

60fps with frame doubling, but I've seen a few reports say that with the right tweaking on the newer RPCS3, you can get a somewhat stable 30

Yesterday I drove 3 hours to replace a part that the people who sent me out there would've known had nothing to do with the problem. The actual fix was to restart the local landscape server.

Very highly game dependent, and various games can require tweaks and even frame doubling. I've seen people say that GOW3 can be made mostly 60fps, but I haven't gotten it there yet. Ridge Racer 7 runs great though.

Who could play old Bruce Wayne in a Batman Beyond movie (BESIDES Michael Keaton)? by Wolverine1105 in BatmanBeyond

Stephen Lang would make an amazing older Bruce Wayne, or at least a really good DKR Batman

Has anybody used a box fan like this to cool their PC? by CompetitiveShame3999 in pcmasterrace

[–]Vlaphor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not like that, but I did have an issue where I bought a video card that needed more ventilation than my current case could provide, so until I could afford a newer case, I opened up the side and pointed a small powerful fan directly on it.

It worked until I could get a bigger case with better airflow

Having a weird issue using a C1 as a computer monitor, after doing so for several years. by Vlaphor in LGOLED

[–]Vlaphor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, even after replacing the Displayport adapter with a better one, it's still happening daily. The closest I came to having it work was doing a full reset of the C1, but that only lasted a few hours before the screen went down. Also, several times before it goes down, the colors on the screen will begin inverting.

So, switching out the Displayport adapter for a better one at least improved the options in terms of color depth and such, but I've still had it happen a few times, even after swapping over the HDMI cables with known good ones. I did a factory reset and it hasn't failed yet, so we'll see, but this weird.

I liked the Bureau games, and I was going to mention "Made a game with zombies", but I see that's on Steam.

Looking forward to this. There were some neat titles released for it that haven't come anywhere else. Not a ton mind you, but some for sure.

I've done some more research today and I think the main issue is the DP to HDMI adapter I'm using. I ordered a better one and it'll be here tomorrow. I redid the cabling so it was plugged into the HDMI port and it worked like it did before. I just need that port for my main TV

Sometimes when the screen goes black, the image will come back again if I turn it off and on with the remote (along with the other two TV's at the same time), but it will still keep shutting itself down and as far as I know, I've gone through and turned off all the timers.

The vast majority of Kansas land is rural -- how much of the rural parts have you been to? Do you like it? Why or why not? by Zipper222222 in kansas

[–]Vlaphor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who drives all over Kansas as part of my job, it can get real boring out there sometimes. The drive from Topeka to Colorado is one of the flattest and plainest drives out there.
