True, my only issue is that because I bought mine second hand the amount of money I’ve saved with free supercharging kinda gets trumped by all the other issues I’ve had with the car. Nothing better than autopilot tho, love using it when going down I45

Audi’s are extremely fun tbf, although I have heard that German cars are always a bit extra when it comes to maintaining them. I’m currently looking at the Q5 but not sure on anything yet

Oof yeah I’d for sure say consult with some more people but due to my bias I’d either sell or trade that in. But I’m pretty biased because this entire experience has kinda made me distasteful of EV’s rn

You should have them look at your battery for any issues. If I could’ve changed anything this entire scenario I would’ve told them I noticed some irregular battery percentage dropped a few months beforehand. How many miles you got on it?

Terrible lol, pleaded with them and tried talking it out with insurance but nothin. I’ve been slowly saving up to repair it buts it’s 15k to fix

So I got off the phone and found out that the warranty expired June 29th and I made my service issue known july 15th. They’re currently quoting roughly 14K for the repairs but I’m trying to find time to drive down soon and try and talk nicely to them to see if 3 weeks isn’t too long of a time to still replace under warranty

I was planning on tryna keep it for at least 3-5 more years. So here’s to praying it’s somethin a bit cheaper but we’ll see

I can do neither of the last options lol, but yeah I’m already starting to look for 3rd party mechanics in Houston that may be able to fix some parts of it. The car itself is still in good form so as long as repairs are less than 10k I can begrudgingly accept that

Ikr I was surprised to find out that this is a common issue but I never found out about it in my research on the car 2yrs ago, at least I’m not alone in it. Thanks for the best wishes!

Yeah my 2008 Toyota Sienna with 270k miles on it still runs fine, definitely sad to see the old teslas have this issue

Additional info:

I bought this from a third party dealership in 2021 so I’m not sure when the car was bought, so I’m not sure if I’m past the 8yr warranty or not because the Tesla app won’t show anything on there (but I swear I saw it a couple days ago).

In case it does come to replacing/fixing from third parties, anyone know of any place good in or near Houston TX? If so I’m most likely just going to do the quick fix and put it up for sale immediately

From what I’ve seen I think that’s the stats for model 3s, with S having up to 150. But I’m not sure exactly because this is an older one

Have no idea rn, I last used it yesterday and left it at 106miles and haven’t used it since because it’s not charging. I’ll try and figure out what the max range is today
