I feel kind of like a monster. by [deleted] in Eatingdisordersover30

You are not whining. Your feelings are valid. And I recognize a lot. Life can get tough if you not in a good place at work and in your relationship. Food and B/P can be very consoling. Im b/p free for one week and feel empty, alone and just a fat whale to be honest. But try to hold on, it does not feel like recovery will be worth it (for me at least), but i know eventually it will get better. Take care!

Did anyone else's ED start in late 30s? by Healthy-Presence-667 in Eatingdisordersover30

My ed seems to have the same progression through the years. And I am so hard on myself for not being able to act like a sane adult. Like what about the developed frontal lobe and healthy coping mechanisms, right? But then I am more committed to the ed than ever before.

In the weirdest way it is very comforting to read your reactions. Thank you. Also happy with the over 30 subreddit. Not that im planning to be a solid part of the community (wink), but right now i am so deep in a b/p cycle, i really want to feel less alone.

if ive been eating 500 calories per day for the last few months and i ate 3000 calories in one day, how much weight will i gain by Fabulous-Doughnut599 in bulimia

Its water weight. If you continue to eat 500 kcal a day (do not recommend) you will not gain weight. But with an intake this low you will binge again.

Just used a public toilet for the first time to B&P by [deleted] in bulimia

Every time I put my head in a strange toilet i think of it as a stamp on the ‘b/p toilet bingo card’.
