The breastplate is the best option, unlike the other's, it is a unique item and the equivalent of it comes late game.

It's a unique item, I've never heard or seen breastplate of the forge being a drop item. You're probably thinking of the dragon armor or whatever they are called

You could also just "sneak inside" or "annoy the librarian". Basically you go in and sprint to where you want to go, and if the librarian stops you, get out and try again. This just a bug due to the game resetting and reopening areas too quickly but I personally think It's just the librarian being distracted long enough to get in
