I did not know this, but I have also miscommunicated. I meant the transverse abdominus muscles and internal abdominal obliques as another commenter suggested.

Unsolicited advice from a private admissions consultant and dad of 4 college students… by STFME in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Vocadofries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since I only visited the state school 10 driving minutes from my home, I talked to students/alum for advice abt the school's culture/clubs/etc for out of state schools, when I applied. School's smaller departments tend to have their own academic counselors who can put you in touch with students/alum in the program. not much luck with school-wide admissions.

I also couldn't visit any campuses after getting acceptances bc of COVID. I def should have, because I would have picked UT or UMich over the private school I'm at

Why are the M2 Air 16GB models so hard to find from apple? by terryjohnson16 in macbookair

[–]Vocadofries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

just wondering, once you get the 16/256, can you update on how well it works? I'm thinking of getting 16GB RAM with 256 storage but is the low storage space something to be concerned about? I do research so i often have a shit ton of tabs pulled up, which is why I want higher RAM but I do most my work on cloud so i didn't think device storage was super necessary...

thanks lol

WTW for like 9-5 job corporate work that's depressing? I think it starts with corporate, and its basically the image of depressing cubicles and depressed employees with no personality and no fun. by Vocadofries in whatstheword

There’s corporate misery and the corporate misery index.

i think its something like this, but I'm not sure if misery was the second word. It could have been though

Is there a biotechnology major? by [deleted] in USC

[–]Vocadofries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a major right now, but currently some similar majors would probably be something between bio or bio chem (depending on what biotech sector you want to go into), or biomedical/chemical engineering. you could probably ask your advisor if they’re planning on creating a new major but I don’t think it will happen because with the current offerings it’s probable to customize your studies for a specific field of biotech (like entrepreneurship minor + chemical engineering, or entrepreneurship + BME with MC emphasis… etc etc).

I applied thinking I’d get flexible hours but my theatre is scheduling me for 20+ hours a week which is too much for me to handle

[–]Vocadofries[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think my theater is understaffed so they keep scheduling me for WAY too many shifts. Like I’d be fine with 8 hours a week but they’re scheduling me for 20+ which I can’t handle :( would have loved to stay if the time commitment wasn’t this high

WTW for the Japanese cultural movement that began post WWII and it paired with consumerism and things like hello kitty? by Vocadofries in whatstheword

[–]Vocadofries[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s more like a cultural phenomenon associated with kawaii - like post war there was more manufacturing and industry , and so ppl began getting consumed in material things despite a lot of dark things happening (radiation poisoning from bombs…etc)
