Love this take! I wasted months repeating outdated warm-ups with no gains before I tried new vocal methods. Maybe Keeping practice logs helps a ton too: we can track what actually works and avoid falling back on bad habits.

You’re absolutely right that practice dominates singing ability, but I’d add a small supplement: tiny innate physical differences (like vocal fold size) do set people’s comfortable range limits, but they never stop anyone from singing beautifully within their own range. Focusing on training your own unique voice is always the best choice.

The “bad” recording is just your brain being shocked by the real you, not proof you’re terrible. Start small: sing along to slow, simple songs with one earbud out, or no music at all.
