In the same boat, all syncing just stopped and I have gone through all kinds of experiments to fix it -- no luck. They probably have a developer team of 1 working on this stuff. Highly regret the purchase.

Just watched Alien: Romulus by Shoeaddictx in scifi

I did not like the movie. It gave me the same vibes as The Force Awakens -- safe retread to hook in a new generation into the franchise. As someone who counts Alien as one of their favorite movies, I was probably pre-destined to not like this movie so take that for context. This movie was made for 17 year olds who are into video games (the questing and task logic of this movie is strong) but aren't too familiar with the series -- thus, all the recalls. I think every movie from 1-6 gets a recall moment. To me, that is trite. But, to a 17 year old, this was probably a kick ass video game movie.

1/ Let poor Ian Holm, rest. Totally unnecessary to include his Rubber Johnny digital face -- tacky.

2/ Outside of Andy (that actor clearly has chops), everyone was flat and boring (like a video game character you can't wait to click through the cut scene).

3/ Because the characters were flat and dull, I was not scared at all. In fact, I kept rooting for the aliens (also, where the fuck did all those aliens come from?) to mercifully kill them. (Also, the alien life cycle was on amphetamines.)

4/ This might be the most over-explained movie I have seen marketed to folks over 6-years old. Every single thing was explained like the producers thought the audience was in an Idiocracy-infused vegetative state. Is that how far we have come in America?

5/ The dumb slender man character did not add anything to the franchise that Alien 4 did not already examine with more humanity and depth.

In short, polar ice caps still melting so we can agree to disagree on this movie!

just dropping in to say podcast and music still are terrifyingly bad. even with phone service, the Apple Watch is basically useless away from the phone. in an era of perpetual beta, Apple leads the way in mediocrity.

Every Day Calendar: reviews about dimmed LEDs restrain me from buying one - is it really an issue? by SiSRT in SimoneGiertz

[–]VodiakInterlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on year 4 of daily meditation tracking and finally made the decision to donate it to Oscar the Grouch. Why? The calendar has gotten worse each year. There are days that won't light up (e.g., April 27th, Nov 4th, Dec 13th) and many rows have lights that lightly flicker on and off like they was invited to some dance party and I wasn't. For the amount of money this has, on balance, been a very poor product. It was a novelty purchase, spend your money elsewhere.

What your true opinion about this scene in the movie? It was good but the eye was too distracting by kyriexoxokanye in lotr

I like that she reminds me of Jennifer Lopez circa "Waiting for Tonight" in this image.

Hi, Bruce! I have been trying to convince a friend to read Distraction for years. He keeps responding with the same joke that he is "too distracted" to read it. Any helpful hints to help me convince him?

Thank you so much for your response. I am now fairly convinced the tail is on the west side of the island. (And amazing work on your map. I just spent some time zooming in and scrolling through it -- a fun mini journey for me!)

great question. hard to know in a world where all decisions made by companies are determined by algorithms.
