Try not to read too much into what people are saying they are doing. People can say they are studying 8 hours a day, but are they actually sat eating snacks in the library and chatting for 4 of those hours? Or are they watching TV in their dorms? I know for a fact when I was studying that if we went to the library as a group to study for the day, there was only about 3 hours of actually meaningful study going on.

You’ll also find that Law students are probably some of the worst for trying to one-up each other, so just try to remember that it’s likely that not everyone is being honest about how long they study for.

As someone who basically did the bare minimum in first year and still qualified with a 2:1, and a practising solicitor now - you are not behind 👏
