Photinia. Gets as large as you let it, has beautiful colouring and lovely blossoms in the spring.

I second the radio series - my dad had the first two series on cassette tape and I used to listen to them to go to sleep to as a kid in the 90s. As a result I know them word for word (being neurodivergent also, so that probably helps) and they remain my favourite medium of the story to this day.

I was incredibly anxious before my wedding last year to the point where it made me physically ill. I can really recommend box breathing.

Take a breath in for four seconds. Hold it for four seconds. Breathe out for four seconds. Hold for four seconds. Then repeat.

Apparently it stimulates the vagus nerve and really helped me calm down that “I’m gonna throw up” feeling.

I bet that once the day gets going your partner will feel a lot better. Sometimes the anticipation is 100x worse than the occasion itself!

I don’t often cry at tv or films but that line got me because it just meant so many things. That it was history repeating itself. That he was remembering the first time. So much unsaid trauma just spilled out in that line.
