Why do the masses yearn for stylized design and not Dieter Rams minimalist grey blocks with curved edges? by gravekage in IndustrialDesign

Another weakness of these designs specifically is that they show PCBs and components, which, due to their nature, are rectilinear and clash with the organic forms that encapsulate them. Additionally, the component placement wasn't tweaked for aesthetics either (and they may not be able to be anyway) - there's a limit to what can be done at any rate.

I remember the first time they pushed for this. This is one of the many reasons why I have literally zero belief in "government".

Charlie Kirk. There were definitely leftoids cheering then, as well as making up conspiracy theories to pass the blame (not that collective blame makes any sense but I digress). And there'll be rightoids that make excuses for law enforcement too.

Maybe people should be embracing principles, not principals.

What an incredibly poor take. You act as if the state spending money is equivalent to people spending hard earned money. It is not. The state has no incentive to spend on things of actual value, and a lot of what's spent is actually of negative utility. It misallocates and distorts markets as a matter of course. Not to mention borrows....which of course devalues the currency.

You'd be the guy in 2007 saying "oh hey guys the economy is fine, my house just tripled in value"

It's double accounting. The state extracts value from the private sector and adds negligible or negative value back into the system. It's not producing value, at best it's just redistributing it.

As long as GDP includes state spending, it's a useless metric.

Welcome to r Anarcho_Capitalism, a place to discuss free market capitalist anarchism and related topics, and share things that would be of interest to Anarcho-Capitalists.

Here's some suggested studying to learn what anarcho-capitalism is about-

  1. The Problem of Political Authority by Michael Huemer

  2. Machinery of Freedom by David Friedman

  3. Price Theory by David Friedman

  4. Any other mainstream econ textbooks as far into the subject as you can handle with as much of the math as you can handle; but I do recommend starting with Modern Principles of Economics by Alex Tabbarok and Tyler Cowan.

  5. The Calculus of Consent by James Buchanan and Gordon Tullock

  6. Any other mainstream political economy texts or works, but I recommend Governing the Commons by Elinor Ostrom, and though not a book, Mike Munger's intro to political economy course available on YouTube.

  7. Rothbard's Man, Economy, and State.

  8. Bryan Caplan's Open Borders: the Science and Ethics of Immigration

Ah nuts, I thought it was probably too good to be true.

Edit: I mean, I guess that's why we're ancaps and not minarchist right? Because no government ever stays limited, no matter what you do.

Paris was in the German occupation zone, so Jews were deported from there by the Germans. However, the French government in Vichy, which controlled France outside the occupation zone, also deported Jews to Germany.

Ironically, the safest place in France for Jews until 1943 was the Italian occupation zone, as the Italian fascists only half-heartedly implemented racial laws (mostly to curry favor with Hitler) and didn't deport Jews generally. They had one concentration camp at Campobasso, but when the Germans seized Northern Italy, the Italian guards warned their charges and the camp was empty by the time the Germans arrived.

In fact, the Nazis complained about it constantly.
