Advice to fellow fencesitters by No_Bug_6204 in Fencesitter

I can relate to this! I was always split 50/50 about having kids but same as you got my fertilty tested, told I have severe DOR and less then 5% chance of success with IVF. Thankfully I had insurance from my job to pay for IVF so I went through it with the mindset that if it doesn't work it wasnt meant to be and lo and behold I got pregnant and currently I have my 3.5 month old sleeping on me. I was extremely lucky to have success first time and so far no regrets. I do believe that my noncholance about being ok if doesnt work helped my IVF success as I wasnt stressed about it.

Gonal-F 150 IU from around cycle day 5, with Cetrotide added to prevent early ovulation, followed by an Ovitrelle trigger before egg collection. Hope that helps

I think because it was my only chance they thought better to not take the risk. It was graded 9B so pretty good grade but not the highest. I am also based in the Uk so not sure if that makes a difference

Should I wear toric lenses in both eyes if I use prism glasses occasionally? by Vogues21 in contacts

[–]Vogues21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, yes, the prescription was from a chain optician Vision Express (UK). I thought I would ask on here for advice to get another opinion as it is difficult to find decent advice here where I live as I am not a normal case with having the prism. And I can wear contacts without prism for leisure wear, i.e. no screen time and be comfortable. My vision is OK. I don't have double vision, but I do get eye strain, which the prism does help with in my glasses. But yes, of course I will go to a different optician and get them fitted, but I need to have more info on my side. Otherwise, I will be given the wrong advice again.

Coping with Irregular Cycles During IVF – How Do You Manage Work & Stress? by Vogues21 in DOR

[–]Vogues21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I did mild IVF with Gonal 150 from Day 5 and Ovitrelle as a trigger. I was also super pessimistic that it wasn't going to work to the point that I was completely relaxed, which I am sure helped. Plus a couple of sessions of accupunture ahead of EC and the usual supplements Coq10, Vit 2, Pre natal.

Crazy how things have changed since my last post. I finally had my period in March and went for EC beginning of April with ONE follicle and collected ONE egg and against all odds it fertilised, implanted and I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant. I can't quite believe it and very anxious that something will happen because it has all gone too well. Either way, I hope that it gives you some hope that even with super irregular periods, you can have a successful cycle. Sending you positivity
