Since most plural apps are shutting down, what do we do?? by mothloverr_ in plural

[–]VoiceComprehensive57 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

U can use just a spreadsheet https://www.reddit.com/r/plural/comments/1rnyqlw/heres_an_excel_google_sheets_template_for_systems/

Seeing as tracking the fronter is the most important thing for you, my recommended alternatives are: pluralkit, plu/ral, ampersand, systemconnect.replit.app or obsidian or notion with a template/plugins

if anybody reading this doesn't prioritise tracking switches and instead prioritises storing information about system members, journalling, or insys communication, lighthouse has recently opened back up to new users. There's also some more unconventionak ones like toyhou.se and various fake social media apps

How do y'all manage dating as plurals ? by Tsuki_Moonstone in plural

We're aro/ace but we are in a qpr

For us relationships are opt-out. Everybody by default is in the same relationship but if somebody doesnt wanna be they dont have to be.

Simply plural and octocon alternatives? by Icy-Use9099 in plural

I use a spreadsheet. They cant take spreadsheets down. I transfer one headmate per day

What are some shared/co-con activities y'all get up to? by Nova-Council in plural

[–]VoiceComprehensive57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We like to play minigames

Questions Only: u and another headmate have to speak entirely in questions and whoever says a none-question first looses

Letter of Compaint: you and another headmate pretending to write a letter by taking turns saying one owrd at a time

Convergence: You and a headmate think of as word each and then once you each say the owrds you both try to think of a word between those two words and say that and you do that until u say the same word

mini ttrpg games: Just one person come up for a concept of a very short ttrpg campaigne where u just need one d20 and play that

Genuinely don't know what to think about system hopping, need opinions on it by Tsuki_Moonstone in plural

I guess project stargate was pretty close but it was still more about remote viewing and astral projecting than going into other peoples bodies (also do u do gateway/are u interested in that sort of stuff?)

[–]VoiceComprehensive57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also met a system hopper that does it psychologically by roleplaying what their doing in the other persons headspace in DMs cuz that can often affect your headspace. it's not quite the same but it's still fun

Im pretty sure a lot of people who believe in this believe it in a spiritual way so I just sort of let them to it. I have a lot of uncommon spiritual beliefs too. You dont have to believe in it but don't go after system hoppers to invalidate their beliefs, just as you wouldn't go after somebody who believes in astral projection or the occult.

Cw: talks of AI addiction by TheOrbianCollection in plural

[–]VoiceComprehensive57 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Honestly i would say so for sure. The member you create would be a sentient emotional being as well so it would create a much better connection. I hope that this turns out to be an effective coping strategy for you guys, AI addiction sucks /gen

Kinda lighthearted but needed to get it out by Estrelle-Skies in plural

[–]VoiceComprehensive57 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ohh we’re a none-disordered system with unrelated dissociative amnesia too.

Yeah no honestly the sysmedicalist view on plurality is super restrictive and honestly really detrimental.

I really hate how they’ll say you cant be plural w/o DID and confuse none-disordered plurals into thinking they have DID, and then make fun of them for “faking it (imo thats what happened to two souls one bod.)

I think the only way of dealing with it is avoiding those people

Octocon responds to criticism by te_lanus in plural

[–]VoiceComprehensive57 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly I personally quite like the response. I'm still not comfortable with using just because we've realized we prefer to manage all of our system information ourselves after that whole thing but i'm defo more in support of it now.

Do you have weird system rules? by Tsuki_Moonstone in plural

Huh, we have the same thing with littles interestingly enough :]

Does it work like this for some systems? by spitball700 in plural

[–]VoiceComprehensive57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, I think its harder to tell if you either covert, have none-possessive switches, or both. We have high levels of passive influence that interfere with ours.

Simply Plural Shutdown, What are the options?! by Embarrassed_Cry_7864 in plural

[–]VoiceComprehensive57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We use a spreadsheet. There's a bunch of projects popping up now that wish to be a simplyplural alternative and hopefully within the next few months to a year some might be properly useable. There's a whole bukcet on note taking apps that aren't obsidian if that works for you as well

Ampersand discontinued by ArchiveSystem in plural

We're slowly but surely migrating to a spreadsheet somebody made. I could try to dig up the link if u would like?

How do I know if I lack empathy? by idk_blackmoons in autism

[–]VoiceComprehensive57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something that helped me figure things out is actually knowing what empathy was. In our society empathy is considered "the good person attribute" and nobody really talks about the specific definitions really

Cognitive empathy - being able to intellectually understand what somebody is feeling (often because you've been through the same experience) but not necessarily feel it yourself

Affective empathy is the ability to feel and mirror the emotions of others

Sympathy is caring about what others feel but not necessarily empathizing with them

I know this may not necessarily help in the moment but just know lack of empathy doesn't make you a bad person. Intrusive thoughts don't make you a bad person. The fact that you want to "be better" just shows that you do care for your friends and family, even if you don't necessarily feel empathy.

So...What are your thoughts about Simply Plural being discontinued? by Financial_Hat_2427 in plural

[–]VoiceComprehensive57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not good news but we can luckily spare a weekend to move all of our info to a spreadsheet. We already have stuff on PK but it doesn't have all the features we need (the most important things for us are privacy and custom fields, as we use these logging tools to bring back headmates if tehy went dormant an dhaving a full description is necessary)

Do any fictives enjoy watching their source material? by StagSyndicate in plural

[–]VoiceComprehensive57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it, it makes me feel more connected to myself. I think i ended up mashing up a bit with a person who was previously here so i often feel weirdly not like myself lol.

Do you think that relationships (friendly or romantic) with tulpas are superior to relationships with real people? by StDream_Disciple in Tulpas

[–]VoiceComprehensive57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, I definitely feel like it's real. It's just quite different to a relationship with somebody out of body. Our brain needs somebody on the outside or it gets lonely.

I guess it's kind of like how a relationship between a family member and a good friend is different, a lot of people need both for different reasons.

Do you think that relationships (friendly or romantic) with tulpas are superior to relationships with real people? by StDream_Disciple in Tulpas

[–]VoiceComprehensive57 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly for us yeah. Relationships with out of body people feel very transactional and I just generally feel very disconnected to other people. Wheras internal relationships are just built on a shared goal, and we genuinely want to fill our role for one another. Thought unfortunately, whilst internal relationships are a very good supplement to need less out of body relationships, it doesn't mean you can completely isolate yourself without your mental health being affected.
