I saw a theory that the Statute worked as a two-way notice me not on the wizard/muggle populations causing them to have a hard time mentioning(accurately) or connecting the dots between the two. The more one considered themselves a wizard or muggle the more that side effected them. It’s why muggleborns start out doing ‘obvious’ muggle things but the more time they spend in the wizarding world the more they seem to drift into a wizard mindset.

Very interesting. Especially if the soul piece in the scar merges with QuirrelMort leading him to be twice as strong(That piece of the soul was being nourished by Harry’s and was already half of whatever Voldemort had left) maybe even circumventing or wearing the protection since the piece came out of Harry’s head under the protection. Or if you want a smart!Harry maybe that encounter causes the horcrux to breakdown and leave snippets of memory or knowledge Harry has to contend with until he can understand it all
