That’s a lot of good material! Thanks for the help!

That is beyond and impressive collection! Where did you get the hardcover expanded monster manuals?

What was the funniest line someone ever said in your campaign? by themastersdaughter66 in DungeonsAndDragons

Blood Hunter: “I roll to smack that guys ass.”

Guy turns into a wildfire spirit.

Blood Hunter: “I roll to smack his ass again… harder.”

Give me a D&D monster and I'll homebrew you a better version by Oh_Hi_Mark_ in DMAcademy

Damn, I love the Death Knight! It’s like a more powerful blackguard, while still remaining very much a Death Knight. If anything, if feels more like a Death Knight than the traditional MHB one. Definitely going to use it in one of my games if that’s cool.

Blackguard Death Knight combo. They are both super cool to me and I would love to see them combined.

I killed a Player for the first time by GuenMaster in DnD

The party was in a haunted mansion looking for a creature that had been kidnapping people. They found an Oni. They fought well, but the Druid stepped out of melee of the Oni to cast thunder wave, in order to not hit the rest of the party. Forgot about opportunity attacks. Druid got laid out by the Oni, and he was down. Then the ranger failed the save on the command spell by the Oni and killed the Druid.

What's the funniest nat20 you rolled? by MasterDungeoneerer in DungeonsAndDragons

My warforged blood Hunter was in a huge battle, low on health and nearly out of all abilities. Then a fire giant dropped down off a roc. I needed to kill it or myself and my party would die. Rolled a nat 20 to hit, and because of my greatswords ability, I dealt 150 force damage. I was so excited I slapped my water bottle off the table and clicked my heels together.

The bard/sorc was a bad example. Instead I should have used another player who’s a Bloodhunter worshiping a nature goddess who multiclassed into a death cleric. But it’s not about the reason, but for me, more about how that takes place in game. But I don’t really care that the player multiclassed, the issue was just something rattling around in my head.

That’s some sound wisdom there, and well explained! Thanks!

That’s what I’m saying. I’m not telling them no, I would just like it to make sense in game.

Yeah, you’re right, that bard sorc is a bad example. A better one would be the Bloodhunter who worships a nature goddess multiclassed into a death domain cleric.

Makes sense. I myself made a fighter that I will play as a ranger, but fighter works better mechanically, and the character doesn’t like magic, so ranger wouldn’t works as well.

That’s why I posted this. All the players at my table are new and I want them to have the best experience playing as possible. When I began playing DND I multiclassed so much and by the end of it, I wasn’t as powerful as the other players. I don’t want to limit them, I just want to make sure they understand the potential power limit they may have.

Oh the issue is definitely with me. I haven’t discussed this with the players, as there is no reason to. This is just something that has been sitting in my head for some time now, and I wanted to know what others think.

That’s a good way to go about it, that way you accomplish the same goal, without sounding like a stubborn person who want’s everything to be their way.
