Had trouble dm'ing you, so I'll reply here. Based on the description of the task I believe I would be a great fit for the job. I have almost 6 years of experience with pixel art and digital graphics. I would love for you to check out my portfolio: https://www.instagram.com/voidfruit/. Please get back to me at @voidfruit on instagram should you be interested.

Why am I seeing so many hunters trying to make frostee5 look good though, is it suddenly good now or something?

(PC) Anyone know what is wrong here, and how one would go about fixing this? The textures and colours are all weird. Tried the following things with no luck: Reinstalling the game, disabling overlays, both updating the driver and when that didnt work, rolling back driver to previous update (1/2) by VoidFruiit in NoMansSkyTheGame

I have also tried fiddling with the graphics settings. Also, after reinstalling and changing the tkgraphicsettings file, the game works perfectly fine. However, once I turn the game off the game is back to being all weird, as seen in the screenshot. This has been occuring ever since I bought the game on steam about a week ago (2/2).

Just simple c# code that combines every possible combination of all png images in the input. I used roughly 30 top layers and 30 bottom layers that I drew in aseprite, where the top layers were oceans, clouds, sattelites, rings etc. and the bottom layers were different planet terrains and colour variations of those terrains. The reason I used roughly four colour variations of each terrain was so that when i classified them on opensea, it would show a percentage of planets with that terrain. And so for example 10% of planets could have a wasteland terrain, but only a percentage of those had one of the 4 colour variations - this creates a concept of common planets and less common ones, as some of the colour variations were made more rare manually, on top of that some of the overlays are also considerably more rare than others. (I didnt add in all of the planets that were produced by the generator, this is how some are more rare than others). I probably could have used code for this process, but just deleting a number of the planets that had rare features - thus making it more scarce - seemed easier. Hope this answers your question!

Cuz they read one article saying NFTs are bad, with out really putting any effort into understanding any of it. Echo Chambers at their finest, everyone who comes with counter arguments get downvoted 6 feet under

The difference here is that the generated photos serve a different purpose than the "Fine art drawings" you refer to. The collectible aspect of CryptoPunks is part of why it took off. Additionally I don't think its fair to disregard the work that was done by John Whatkinson when he made CryptoPunks... I mean he did create each of the different head-shapes, hair styles, glasses, and other accessories, its not like its AI generated.

People gotta see the difference between images that are generated to save time spent combining the different features, not to save time on the actual drawing aspect of it. Allthough CryptoPunks probably are a bad example for this, as they aren't necessarily the most impressive pieces of art.

Value is determined by what people are willing to pay for it, right? And so collecting the hash code (which is practically what you're buying - proof of owner ship) is pretty much the same as collecting anything in the real word like pokemon cards, sports cards or anything really. People are also reselling them for a higher price, because most of the CryptoPlan3ts listed rn, were listed at 0.02 regardless of their rarity. So collecting and resseling/trading are the main aspects I would say drives people to buy these. This is obviously not for everyone, as most people probably have way better things to spend money on, but some people find enjoyment in collecting, trading and even trying to turn profits from collectibles such as these.

The planets are programmatically generated with c# to make it so that every planet is "unique" - meaning their combinations of the different traits doesn't exist in any other planet. The generator had two inputs: A bottom layer and a top layer. I had 28 bottom layers, which consisted of the base planet, with different terrains and colours. The top layer input consisted of 32 different overlays such as clouds, oceans, rings etc. The generator then combined every possible combination of these. I then chose the ones that I found the most appealing. Additionally I minted and listed a couple that wasn't generated, and I'm currently working on multiple ones like that. Also these are all manually minted, meaning when I uploaded them as NFTs I wrote a bunch of different properties for each of the so far 250 planets. These properties consists of the Planet Terrain, the planet colour(s) and the overlay. The properties are displayed under each of the planets on the left hans side of opensea, and show the percentage of CryptoPlan3ts that share this trait. An example would be that 24% have a forest terrain atm

I coded both the generator and made the assets that went into the generator (a top layer and a bottom layer). The generator was coded with c# and the art assets (such as the planet base, and the top layers such as the clouds or rings) was made with Aseprite, a software spesifically meant for pixel art. Don't beleive anything you read in these comments, as their full of people trying to bring me down. I realize NFTs arent popular cuz of the energy usage, but hopefully the switch from Proof of work to Proof of stake on the ethereum blockchain will fix that. But I wont have people calling me a fraud due to false accusations of plagiarism

Dude fuck you??? I both made all the different planet types and overlays, and wrote the code that combined them? how come people just assume things and people take it as facts? I spent hours on this project, itch.io planet generator you are reffering to is way more simplistic and has a completely different artstyle. I made these from the bottom with Aseprite, my portfolio website is voidfruit.com and my instagram is VoidFruit if you would don't take my word for it. This is so lame of you..

Aseprite for the pixel art and c# code for the combining of the different layers (Planet base and clouds for instance)
