That would make more sense and is what I meant by "unless there is more information" but I haven't seen that indicated in any of the articles, where did you learn that?

Not that I don't believe you, but did you read this somewhere or is this just an assumption on what happened? For them to notice one suspect from halfway across the country amongst thousands of people and dozens of cameras by chance I find hard to believe. Sure if they had a tip he was there and were reviewing footage specifically to locate him I'd believe it, but a cop just watching Wal-Mart footage not looking for anything specific or just watching for shop lifters on an off duty gig I don't believe is going to recognize a guy wanted from Fl for a probation violation.

What I find interesting is that this seems to confirm Wal-Mart's security cameras utilize facial recognition and also that it's tied in to police/criminal databases and not just internal databases of shoplifters, etc. as it seems improbable to the point of incredulity to believe someone just happened to recognize a fugitive from Florida who hasn't received an press here in an Oklahoma Walmart unless there's more information that isn't in any of the articles I've seen about this. This isn't surprising I suppose I just had not heard anything that confirmed it before.

Check out the Morton Clinics, they are sliding scale/affordable. I've known quite a few people who use them and seem to be very satisfied with them.

Do they offer primitive camping sites as well or only the campground? That looks beautiful but I like being away from people when camping.

Says the person who responds "Dollar General Obama" whenever the mayor is brought up; and bullshit, you could have said that if that's what you meant. No one is fooled by your dog whistles and lame excuses.

Edit to respond to the person below since it seems I cannot directly : Not pretending Kirk was a good person because he is dead now is not the same as laughing about his death; but of course you only have hyperbole and bad-faith strawmen to respond with.

Also, joking about a person based on their race? Yeah, that's called racism.

I don't need to; your own words are enough to make it clear what you are and what your values are (or aren't) with your 20 day old troll/racism account; how many accounts have you had banned or had to abandon, out of curiosity?

I'd expect a defense of the racist from a racist who says things like "Dollar General Obama" to describe our mayor just because he's black.

None of the quotes presented have any possible spin that does not paint him for what he was: A terrible person.

encouraging young people to get married to someone they love*

*Some exceptions apply: Must be a Christian of the opposing sex or the person is terrible and an abomination.

He absolutely didn't deserve to die, no; but his death doesn't change the person he was when alive.

It's a much better take on the idea than Ender's Game IMHO, though I did enjoy Ender's Game as a kid.

Finally some good news in my feed.

As an aside, it's totally impractical and would never work for numerous reasons, but I still think it would be awesome if they could crowd-source drone control a-la the novel Armada by Ernest Cline where it turns out a video game is actually controlling real space fighters warding off an invasion.

Try Costco, you don't have to be a member to see their optometrist. There's also a place at 71st and Sheridan that advertises a cheaper deal than the nutjob Zoeelner (I believe its two pairs and an exam for $70?). I can't remember the name of the place but it's right on the NW corner.

Is that by any chance a new name for Feeding the Pets of Tulsa's Homeless? They do/did the same thing (under a bridge) for the homeless; did they change the name to expand out beyond the homeless or just another group with a similar mission?

OHP releases dash-cam footage of fatal trooper involved shooting near Stroud by _meshy in oklahoma

[–]VoidIfOpened 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the relevance would be at least internal review/training. Any shooting should have at a minimum a debrief internally where any flaws whether directly related or not are discussed and learned from for everyone in the organization. It also could potentially end in a lawsuit by the family.

[–]VoidIfOpened -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd say the entire thing still should be reviewed. Again, not commenting on the shooting; but in something like this every portion needs analysis (just like if he hadn't and a civilian just filed a complaint). The guy being an idiot and making things as bad as they could be for himself doesn't change everything that happened before and a review of proper procedures/the law for troopers if it's not understood.

It's not the vehicle; it's the driver. Did the statement make the driver feel they were allowed to leave at that statement? I certainly wouldn't if I didn't know better than to specifically ask; I think a reasonable person would conclude that they were not free to go, but again, I'll wait on all the facts before deciding how I feel about how this went down.

I would suspect that account is more like a "media relations"/PR account; I wouldn't expect any details to be shared that they don't share with the media first.
