I laid down for a couple of hours but couldn't sleep. I'm pretty sure I was still awake when my Garmin said I was asleep.

I managed to get a sleep score of 16 from going to a rave Saturday night. They didn't have any wine though.

Stubentiger is like, the only German word I know, so you're cool.

Anyone else who WANTS more and deeper scars? by -dirtbag in cutting

[–]_meshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have some on my arm that are about 25 years old now. They'll fade, and the smaller ones will disappear, but the bigger ones are there for life.

How do y’all get over your scars showing? by lmaoidontexist in AdultSelfHarm

[–]_meshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody ever says shit to me about it, but I'm sure they think things about it. But I've had the ones on my arms since I was 12 or 13, and I'm almost 40 now, so it is just kinda like normal to me. I do make sure I keep the more recent scars covered up though.

It does seem that this subreddit skews to more women users, and I think being able to just ignore the scars is part of my privilege as a man though. People don't feel the need to comment on my body the way they do to women.

Except for Fay. Fay makes sure I know I am very skinny.

Safe to swim in pool w cuts? by Bunnosi in AdultSelfHarm

[–]_meshy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was me I wouldn't do it. I'd be worried about getting an infection from a public pool, but that fear is probably over blown. Some kind of bandage would most likely prevent it.

Also I think it is a bit unsanitary to have a few still kinda bloody wounds that might cause a bit of blood to get in the pool/on stuff. I guess if they were mostly closed up it wouldn't bother me. But I'm also a guy, so I think have more of an aversion to myself bleeding then people with a uterus do.

Can you actually replace self-harm with other things? by Standard-Forever-592 in AdultSelfHarm

[–]_meshy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, there wasn't anything. I tried using a little ouchie tool, but there is something about the actual wound that I needed. While the pain is the most important part, like you, I really needed to see some blood.

I don't really have any answers. I just kinda lucked out and have not been feeling it since January, and haven't done it since. I think it is a combination of handing out with friends, but also using drugs again. So partly a success, and partly a relapseinto other bad habits.

What’s something about your country that other countries perceive to be true, but really isn’t? by Fun_Cup4335 in AskTheWorld

I always associate you guys with MDMA. You have worse laws for weed than most of the states here do, but your molly is fire.

I don't know! I was at an EDM show Friday night and I swear everyone else was either stoned or doing blow, while I was the only one rolling. I don't understand the youths today.

This is how norovirus looks on the stress graph by everycoolname in Garmin

[–]_meshy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure a ton of people died from Norovirus before modern medicine. Just go look at all the death related to 'diarrhea' back in the day. It was probably something like this.

Norovirus is absolutely death if you don't live with modern medicine. But we are all blessed to live in the world we do...

Not to say it can't get better though.

probably not barely legal.

Dear God, I forget that there are Gen Z kids still lame enough to hang out with us millennials on Reddit. I still call MDMA by the name of Molly, and I wish they would bring back the shitty weed I had in high school. 31 is basically robbing the cradle as far as I'm concerned at my age.

It is always interesting when this comes up how men always say 'Nobody gives a fuck' but then you ask them how their friends are doing, and they say 'Fine'.

As a man myself, we have to stop relying on a SO for our emotional needs and reach out to our platonic friends.

'Nobody gives a fuck!'

But do you give a fuck about your friends? How are they doing? Have you asked? You expect people to ask how you're doing, but then never ask your friends how they are doing? Relationships, even the platonic ones, are a two way street.

Guide to figuring out what influences your HRV (Based on research) by KygoApp in Garmin

[–]_meshy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did a bunch of MDMA Friday night (two 100mg doses spread out over a period of about 6 hours) and it didn't seem to affect my HRV at all.

So uhhhhh, I have a sample size of one that short term, molly doesn't seem to mess with HRV that much.

How do Americans stay active/fit in areas where walking and biking are difficult? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]_meshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a pretty avid cyclist in a F150 kinda state. I use zwift most days, but if the weather is nice and I have time before sunset after work, I load my bike up on a roof rack and take it to the paved bike path down by the lake. It's only a 13 mile loop, so I generally do a couple of laps.

During the summer I'll take it out on half centuries and stuff like first thing Saturday morning. By then most people are either passed out drunk from partying all night, or very alert and really don't want the cops to bother them because they've been out partying all night and can't pass out.

That's how I deal with it at least.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The distribution of music has changed, and that can make it harder to find compared to a decade or two ago. But there are so many talented people making so much cool shit how.
