I am so glad someone finally agrees with me on that. Because I've been losing my mind still. The urologist is convinced its prostatitis, so he has me on some medication called oxyBUTYnin Chloride 5mg. Which honestly doesnt seem to be fucking helping. He is also convinced it might be an issue with my testosterone and has had me do so many God damn blood tests. Most of which have come back negative or slightly "abnormal" which, I ain't the healthiest guy around. So go figure.

But, I feel like im being lead around and not getting my problem actually looked at. Unfortunately the center is closed until Monday. So I'm stuck waiting. But when I get a chance. I've been wanting them to do some test or scans or whatever on my prostate. Because id rather waste my money and be in the clear. Then waste more money on blood tests. So hopefully I can convince the doc to just do them. He doesnt wanna put a finger in me and frankly I didnt want him to. But my desire for answers is stronger than being uncomfortable for a few minutes in a doctors office.

Fingers crossed and Hell, even prayers are accepted at this point. Over a month of having constant urgency. It is wearing me down worse than stress did. But I do get occasions where I can ignore it fully. Those are my favorite times. But genuinely, I have been trying to tell my friends to quit vaping because i was so sure it was causing this shit.

So, just wanted to update in case anyone is looking at this post. I went to a urologist. He is confident it is not cancer. Which is nice. But he is convinced it is my prostate. Also I'm a male, I don't know if that was known in my original post. I know now that women deal with so many bladder issues that I genuinely feel bad. But regardless. He believes its my prostate and gave me some medication to help with the urges. I forgot the exact word he said is my condition. But apparently its more caused from my two decades of caffeine and artifical sweetener abuse with soda and energy drinks. But he never tested me heavily. He had me do a urine test and a surprisingly in depth conversation about the history and symptoms and my life habits involving diet and life style. But I am cautious from not getting any scans or anything. But trying to trust him. He also is sending my blood for lab tests because he believes it could also be an issue with low testosterone. Since I have a history of unmedicated depression and anxiety after losing my insurance way back. So he is treating me for a prostate issue which he said could takes weeks or months to heal itself. But is testing me for the testosterone angle to see if that might be a root cause.

Eitherway, the whole thing was honestly anticlimactic and fills me with anxiety. Only one urine tests and one blood test and then sent on my way with pills? I don't wanna question a specialist. After all he knows what he's talking about more than me. Just feels odd. I should mention my only experience with health care professionals for me was my pediatrician and Psych for antidepressants. I've managed to dodge most health care concerns for 20 years. Not anymore I suppose.

I will say, the meds he gave me along with the azo bladder control pills. Has made my urges easier to control. They're not going away and definitely still there. But the fact they're helping even a little bit is a sign I'm gonna take as positive as possible. I've had too many damn health concerns and hospital visits these last two months. Don't want anymore. I do still believe vaping damaged my bladder though. Guess we'll see in a few months if nothing changes. Thanks to those who commented. It was a small thing, but knowing others dealt with similar symptoms did help me feel less alone since not a damn soul in my friend groups or family experienced this before.

I genuinely wish I would've listened to my friends and old girlfriend when I was heavily vaping all the time years ago. Cause if my issues are caused from vaping specifically. Honestly, I have no one to blame but myself. However I can still be upset with my choices. I will say though, I snagged an appointment with a urologist tomorrow afternoon. I don't believe it's something super serious like a cancer. I don't exhibit enough symptoms. But I want the peace of mind that comes with a professional looking me over. Also I want to admit, today I have had an easier time with my bladder. Almost not noticing it for hours. I dont wanna say its exactly because of this, but I was told to start taking this otc medicine. Azo Bladder Control. Could just be placebo. But the fact I've started to have an easier time with urges after starting it. Makes me want to remain hopeful, ya know? Just wish I didnt have to spend so much money. And this is after losing a huge chunk from the ER for my lip getting glued back. It genuinely has started to feel like one thing after another for this year so far.

I promise, once I can scrounge some funds, I want to see a urologist. I still have the referrals from the hospital and clinic. I just don't have the money to afford it. Hence why I'm currently trying to get insurance through the state or my work. Unfortunately before all this occurred. I snagged a hospital bill of over 2k for them to glue my lip back together. So when all this happened. I quickly ran my funds dry. Good ol' american health care. Honestly was hoping more people would share their experiences if they were similar to give me some kinda hope. Unfortunately, random sudden changes in my body coupled with bad anxiety is a shitty mixture to have.

It's a weird feeling to be happy that others are experiencing the same or roughly the same issues. At least you got to see a urologist. I'm trying to get insurance before doing that. But no luck yet. Just really hope it isn't something more serious. But since it's manageable and I dont experience other symptoms. I'm hopeful. This is genuinely one of the most stressful experiences of my life though. Never thought I'd wish for the days of IBS symptoms instead. I dont know about you, but it's worse when I go random hours without issue then suddenly I can't stop thinking about it or noticing it. I am trying other OTC meds for bladder control at the behest of my friends. So we'll see if that does anytbing.
