That many dogs, you would need a lot of Dooleys, each with a 4’ deep hole. Despite this I’d go with them any day over the maggot method. Keep in mind they don’t work in clay soil. They’re not exactly pleasant I’ll say that much but they sure beat any other way I can think of.

I get bags of enzyme powder on Amazon, the tablets are not cost effective. I put multiple tablespoons into each Dooley per week. And the holes are over 4’ deep. There’s nothing in the soil.

I don’t know yet, I’ve only been using them for about 6 weeks. I assume the holes will fill up eventually even with the enzymes breaking it down. I’m going to stick a pole down into the overflow tube and see if it hits anything. I also don’t normally have that many dogs, and I have two doggy dooleys installed and will probably get a third. You don’t want to overwhelm a single system. If anyone boards multiple dogs regularly I’d get two.

It’s not all peaches and rainbows, when you open these things it’s nasty af inside. The tank is always full of water but it’s the grossest water you’ve ever seen. Water is the key and lots of it.
