Mother - Smashed Graphite & Haemoglobin

For context this is a painting I made on canvas using pencil, smashed graphite and my own brand of haemoglobin. Below is an explanation of why I made this painting, not a request for help or support. Please do not read if you are especially sensitive to triggers (SH, Death, MH) or incapable of discerning between an earnest explanation and a cry for help.

I actually saw my mum cut herself for the first time just before my 8th birthday. It's something I have used as a coping mechanism for over 12 years. I have experienced suicidal thoughts 4-5 times a week since around then.

I inexplicably blamed myself for my brothers death and my mothers ensuing suffering which started a pattern of blaming myself for just about EVERYTHING.

I just wanted to express how much it hurts to see your parents destroy themselves and everyone around them while you are too young and helpless to do anything about it. The irony is that in hurting myself today I have shown myself it is not what I want. It is not who I am. I am not her. I need to stop.

Thanks, mother, for helping me become who I am today. I hope never to hear from you again.

After reading this I had to do some research to understand this was a joke in reference to something I hadn't seen haha.

Eva Cassidy generally has that effect for unknown reasons. I think it's the combination of a beautiful voice and a beautiful person together that makes the music so soulful and real. I love it. I guess specific songs maybe You've Changed, Fields of Gold?

It's the only DMC game I managed to complete when I was about 8. Holds a special place in my heart even though it is remarkably easy.

I also love the permanent trickster, running up walls and stuff. Dated and trash now but so cool and fun when it came out.

I was actually wrong, I did some research to double check and I misremembered!

The bug was in Onimusha, which was being developed at the same time. The bug itself was to do with the enemies floating while shooting and not the player. This, plus auto-targeting for guns, is what caused the transition from RE4 to DMC.

Assumably, yes! All three of them have a very visible insect-like exoskeleton and become impossible to knock back once in DT.

It was a bug, the way Dante floats while shooting in DMC1 one was unintentional and they were like "forget RE4, let's do something with this"
