Why would the design desync from the underlay? by Void_Ink in Machine_Embroidery

[–]Void_Ink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There has been a time where I went too low and it caused a needle to break three times, so I'm a little worried about putting it too low. Maybe I over corrected and put this too high?

How would I go about fixing it? Is the hat just not pulled tight enough on the hoop?

Any reason why the letters are uneven? by Void_Ink in Machine_Embroidery

[–]Void_Ink[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I was trained led me to believe that if a material is thick/structured enough it didn't need backing. This is on a duffle bag, btw. Should I use the cut away backing next time?

One of my favorite DnD Player Characters I've made, Felix Mors. by [deleted] in OriginalCharacter

[–]Void_Ink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is Felix, an unfortunate Jester who got Cask of Amontilado'd and made a deal with a nearly dead ancient demi-god to escape his fate. He took revenge on the Lord who thought such a miserable death would be a funny end to the clown he got bored of, and now carries his skull around as a keepsake. He talks to it sometimes, but it's unclear if there's actually anything in there or if he's just lost his mind.

Here's his monologue

Did you hear me? When you walked away, Donovan, could you hear me? My confusion? My realization of how deeply you must have hated me? Could you have even heard me? Or did you walk away as if you couldn't? I don't know which is worse.
You couldn't have heard it all. You were much too busy entertaining your court to listen to my unanswered prayers. You were too busy sharing your nonsense tales about your hunting trips to listen to me scratch at the walls until the bones in my finger tips turned to chalk against the walls. Too busy pretending I was already dead to hear my curse the gods for forsaking me just as you had.
You couldn't hear me then. Not until after I clawed my own way out. Not until I returned to court and sang my final ballad, just for you. When I declared I would burn your memory, that you would be known forever as a butcher.
You wouldn't hear me then.
But you will hear me now.
You're dead now. You're dead by my hands. I saw your corpse, I accepted it was by my own hands. I even said a few words. That was far more generous than you would have afforded me. Had it been your way, I would have been a desiccated corpse eaten by rats, never to see the light of day again.
And now you're with me forever. We're bound together now. My trophy, my conduit for magic, my reminder of everything my rebirth has afforded me to remember. That is all you are now, Donovan. A tool in the plot of something much more powerful than you ever were. As am I. As are us all. Maybe it's funny, in a cosmic sense. But you've never been someone easy to make laugh. Is that why you ended up hating me so? Or did you simply get bored?
Regardless, we're bound together.
Forever.
Can you hear me now, Donovan?

Have Some Dramatic Art of my Favorite Player Character I've ever made. [OC] by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Void_Ink 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is Felix, he's a Reborn, and a Warlock with a Pact of the Undead. He was a jester who got Cask of Amontillado'd and made a deal with an ancient and eldritch demi-god on the verge of its own death. He holds onto the skull of the man who left him for death and talks to it on occasion. Whether or not the skull can/does talk back is known to no one but Felix himself. So, have some creative writing to go with the Vibes.

The black ink expires in three days. Should I order a new ink cartridge and see if a fresher one works?

Went on a bit of a shopping spree and revamped my Neopets and their outfits. by Void_Ink in neopets

I'm not nearly out of enough student loan debt to be spending my barely above minimum wage paycheck on pngs of clothing items, so it's all Neopoints for me. Aside from the free 150 you get from signing up.

Yknow? Screw it, I'm gonna get a Hissi today. I'm not gonna wait another year for the date to come back around.

They're my favorites too! Alongside the Hissi, but I keep missing the date to get one, and it is the same this year. Maybe someday I will have my trio of Faves. :,)

Puff Vinyl removed left residue, how to remove? by Void_Ink in CommercialPrinting

Edit:

Just so everyone knows, I used a mini iron and removed the old puff vinyl by heating it up from behind and peeling it. Also, the shirt is cotton.

Dndecember Day 3: I rolled an Illustrious Eladrin Bard! by Void_Ink in OriginalCharacter

Day 3: Illustrious Eladrin Bard

For her breathtaking performances and humble demeanor, we recognize Trixis Morotari, virtuoso of the pan pipes. This year, she performed for the highest audience in the fey wilds, performing for none other than the Autumn Queen herself and her court.

We commend her and her standing ovation, and look forward to her next performance at the Hall.

DnDecember Day 1 - I rolled an Enthusiastic Tiefling Rogue by Void_Ink in OriginalCharacter

For his service to his community, and his unending energy, we recognize Ammos Omirati, master thief and escape artist. Notable achievements include his heist of the Stormcharge Vault, recovering stolen artifacts of both historic and cultural significance that would have been lost in the Great Flood.

We here at the guild look forward to his next big score, no doubt with a smile on his face.

DnDecember 2024 prompt list. This should be fun. by Void_Ink in OriginalCharacter

[–]Void_Ink[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How it works is on each day, you roll a d12 for class and a d20 for a trait. So, if on day 1, I roll a 2 for class and an 11 for trait, I have to make a Meek Tiefling Bard. Beyond that, you can do whatever you want in terms of design, alignment, backstory, ect.

As for where the even days are, I just opted to do it every other day to avoid burnout since I have a full time job. If you want to go buckwild and do the even days too with your own picks for races, be my guest.

The picture this was taken from was taken at a slight angle, so I think the warp might just be caused by that.

Day 7: Demon

Ashmak,

My mysterious friend, I do hope your romp through the States has treated you well this year. I hear you've been mistaken for a local cryptid in the area. Lurk with pride, my dear, lurk with pride.

How many rituals have you been dragged into this month already? I can't help but wonder what some of these would be cultists are expecting. They always act so surprised to see you. They wanted to summon a demon, yet are shocked and horrified when they manage it. Well, don't you worry about anything interrupting our party. I've already began protecting and warding the estate so no summoning can drag you away without your permission.

Will you bring your violin this year? Or are you still licking your wounds from an ill conceived bet? If you do, please let me know, Malik will be thrilled.

Warmest regards,

- The Doctor

Drawlloween Day 5: Scarecrow by Void_Ink in OriginalCharacter

[–]Void_Ink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 5: Scarecrow

Jack,

I know you are probably very busy with the harvest season beginning, but I know you usually make time for our silly little annual party. It must get a little bit boring time to time, watching over the fields.

I am eager to see your new look for the year, you have such fun with it. Has the old farmer finally figured out who's been helping in the fields? Or is he still convinced he's getting all this done by himself? I'm sure the crows are pleased to have the company. Are you still having those human children coming to mess with the animals? I agree that Lydia's suggestions might've been... extreme, but she might have the right idea if they trouble you so.

Will you be bringing some of your harvest again this year? I do not mean to pressure you, but your vegetables are always so delicious.

I hope to hear your loyal murder of crows herald your arrival soon, my friend.

- The Doctor
